MSBA Nominee 2010-2011

Snow leopards? Mongolia? What could be better?

I liked the advice and the quotes in the book.

I am so glad I did not go through this dental drama.

I wanted to read "Peace, Locomotion" and didn't realize it was the sequel to this book, so I picked this one up. It is a quick, good, somewhat sad read.

A little bit of a cliche, good ending to a series. I'm glad it didn't drag on forever, even if some of the middle novels did drag on a bit.

MSBA Nominee 2010-2011

The story of a boy surviving the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. Not for the faint of heart.

Newbery Honor 1995

The follow-up to Locomotion, this book furthers looks in the life of Lonnie Collins Motion and the effect the Vietnam War is having on him and his foster family. I was a little choked up at the end.

Chickadee Nominee 2010-2011

I really like the illustrations in the book, and I think the theme of this story is nice, but I'm a little uncertain on the ending. I didn't quite get it the first time I read it, and the second time I still think it's a little abrupt.
