We’re getting close to the end. Norman and his team are out to start the destruction of the demons. While Emma and Ray have gone to the seven walls. They must figure out the clues to find the being that will help them in this debacle. We also get introduced to a new character that turned out to be a human raised by demon. Loved this book. About time they got back into the action and away from the emotional things. There are four bucks left and I can’t wait to see how it ends.

It was never my intention to read the novel of this book. I am not into books that will make me cry if I’m choosing for myself. However, when a graphic novel edition came along, I had to snap it up and give it a read. This book was exactly what I was expecting. It was gut retching, heartbreaking, sad, and very true to life. While this is a fictional story it is based on a real-life person who survived the child’s camp at Auschwitz and acted as a librarian while there. The love of books helped her survive a drastic portion of her life and we are better people for knowing her history and the atrocities that happened. This book was the first time I had ever heard there were specialty children’s camps. It’s not something readily talked about so this book did its job and brought to life new facts of history not seen elsewhere.

This was really fun. It was nice to see Babymouse back in action. I am not sure what grade or age this is geared towards, but Babymouse is in middle school. But the humor, the writing and the storytelling would be great for those in elementary school as well. I love that after 20 years, Babymouse is in full color. Plus, this first book in a new series has a great tale and lesson. As usual, keep up the good work Babymouse.

I love Narwhal and jelly! They are always happy and ready for adventures. However, Jelly is a little tired for the upcoming adventure. Narwhal wants to be a real unicorn but to do that he’s going to have to find some legs and get up on land. With the help of a wishing star his dreams come true and Jelly just wants to go back to bed. As always it always works out in the end and it’s a fun adventure along the way.

Badger is eating a very big breakfast of blueberries. He says Hi to lots of his friends. Dog asks if he has seen his ball. When badger finds out it’s a blue ball he’s a little worried he might have eaten it. The story is typical and cliche, but it all works together very well. The illustrations are fun and vibrant, but also same time quiet. All in all, I love this book it was a fun story and would be fun to read with kids.

This book has been done and been done better. We learn about how squares like things nice and equal, and triangles like to be creative and edgy, and that circles know how to get things done. Circle just wants everybody to work together and find out that their differences make them better together. However, this book is so wordy. Somebody will like it, just not me.

This was fun. It rhymes well. And the artwork is all watercolor and maybe part collage. Not quite sure. It is unique which makes the book stand out. Teddy is just a bear and a best friend who’s there for everything. He’s a protector he’s a hero, and he’s what every little kid needs.

Three mice have been living happy and cozy in the basement of a house. The owners get a cat and the mice decide they have to give it a bell so they can hear it approaching. But none of their plans work. Then one has a brilliant idea of a Trojan horse style attack where they climb into a stuffed dog and try to scare the cat. However, the cat’s on to the mice and the cat is more than happy to make new friends. This book is all right but nothing special. I like the illustrations, but it’s been done before. And this is a fun for right now book however we won’t be seeing it in 20 years.

The need for this book exists but unless it was specifically requested, I won’t be recommending it. The book is overly long but does follow the standard format of a book meant to teach something. You have a concept that’s repeated and then the main character experiences the concept and learn from what they saw before. In this case it’s an egg that doesn’t hatch with the rest and a bear that got held back a grade. Overall, this book would be a nice way of explaining why someone might need held back but as mentioned before it’s overly long and more preachy than entertaining.

Just like the title, this is a sweet book. It gives a different view of boyhood and that a boy doesn’t have to be snakes and snails and puppy dog tails. Boys can be sweet like sugar and steady and calm and all those things that don’t begin in toxic masculinity.
