Fast paced action coupled with deep emotion.

I adored Amari and the Night Brothers and its sequel does not disappoint.

Filled with more heartfelt interactions, deep connections and courage - this book takes the reader on an emotional rollercoaster. I enjoyed the character development within, and B.B Alston knows how to write a good villain. Someone who truly makes your blood boil, because the true monsters - are human.

I eagerly await the next installment in this fantastical, magical series!

This book had no right. None at all. I adored it.

This series is one of my all time favourites and I am loving this installment. That ending will get you, if I wasn't so afraid of damaging books, I would have thrown it in outrage.

I need the next book immediately.

My heart is in turmoil and I require answers!

If you love magical mystery books with morally grey characters and angst filled connections- then this series is for you! (Highly recommend reading the Caraval trilogy first before this trilogy.)

Dark and spicy, a satisfactory ending to this thrilling trilogy.

This book definitely amps the spice levels up from jalapeƱo to ghost pepper - and much of the general murder mystery vibes take a backseat to the raunch. However, I still very much enjoyed the twists and turns as well as the characters' developments.

I feel as if the story isn't finished, and perhaps a spin-off series could be in our future.

For those who adore enemies to lovers, murder mysteries, anti-hero's and morally grey characters - this trilogy is for you.

A great progression of the characters' story tackles some very important issues.

Trigger warning for emotional abuse, gaslighting and toxic relationships.

A heartwarming story that tackles compatibility, heartbreak, trauma and ultimately love.

Funny and heartfelt with a pinch of spice near the end.

I appreciated the dual perspective in this, I did, however, find that the female character was written very similar to her friend who featured in the first book.

She'd seemed more dynamic when she was introduced in the first book, but then fell a little flat in this. However, I did enjoy Lucas' POV and the wonderful food descriptions.

A historical, supernatural, murder mystery with a hint of sexual tension that leaves the reader begging for more.

I adored this book and found it very hard to put down! If you love a good mystery that has well written characters with depth - as well as a hint of romance and the supernatural - then this is for you!

Eagerly awaiting the sequel!

This book has a lot of delicious food references, which were the highlight for me.
