Dark, compelling and raw.

I couldn't put this book down, I am so angry that the sequel isn't in my hand at this very moment!

If you enjoy dark heists with supernatural elements, well written characters with fantastic chemistry - then this book is for you.

Stunning.

Well written, compelling characters and full of everything I love.

This does have some mild spice, so for those who don't like that, perhaps just skim over those parts.

But it is filled with adventure, strife and twists and turns. Couldn't put it down. Cannot wait for the sequel!

I thought this was going to be a duology, there is no way it's a duology. I have been bamboozled. And I'm only slightly mad about it.

Filled with magic and mayhem, this book is so hard to put down. I adore the characters and the lore.

For lovers of mythology, queer and disability rep, and fantastic character growth - this one's for you.

A Romeo and Juliet retelling that is filled with twists and turns.

For those who love enemies to lovers, cat and mouse games, clever intricate storylines - then this is for you.

I adored the characters, their connections, their interactions. It was perfect.

An excellent ending, that leaves a little room for further adventures if the author so chooses.

4/4.5 stars.

Filled with mythology, loyalty and angst.

A good story for those who love books involving romance and war.

I received an advanced copy of this through NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

A beautiful story that really highlights the importance of therapy and taking care of yourself as well as others. I really loved the interactions between characters as well as the gorgeous illustrations.

Queer rep was a plus.

A heartbreaking twisting sequel, I cannot wait for the next one!

Also, 10/10 for a queer inclusive world that doesn't seem forced at all.

4.5 stars.

Twists and turns, fast paced and filled with what you should expect from Holly Black by now.
