Unfortunately this is my first book by the author but I had to stop reading around 30% in .
The blurb and the first chapters sounded promising but then it becomes too confusing and very repetitive.
Maybe I’ll give it another try at one point but for now I just can’t keep reading.

This book is so good that I couldn’t stop reading.
The writing is flawless and the story makes you wanna turn the pages faster and faster to know what happens next, what happened in the past and who kidnaps Emily as well as who’s the real killer of Cori. I loved how the author mixes real love and relationships with suspense and so many twists.
Looking forward to the next books in the series.

What a great ride!
A perfect read for the suspense lovers. I was intrigued from the first chapter and page by page I loved how everything unfolded. Apparently strangers are forced to live in a closedown house where nothing is at it seems and the past comes hunting them.
So many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming my way and a great story overall.

I was waiting for this book for so long.
I loved that we get to read about all of the couples and their children and all the laugh out loud moments between everyone in this family.
Cletus remains my favourite from the gang and can’t wait to read his next books.
The only thing that I didn’t like was the attitude that Billy had, more like he was always the wiser one and gave great advice but of course, when it comes to his own love story that had his heart for Scarlet for almost 20 years, he played like he doesn’t deserve it and at times I found his actions childish.

This book is nothing not what you expect from the author, it's so much more!
Emery and Nash are like the sun and the moon, so different but can't live without one another.
Their banter is so great and the chemistry is felt from the first time they met.
The intimate moments are going to burn your kindle and there are many of them so be aware and prepare a drink or two as you'll definitely going to need something strong to get through those images that the author creates just like a movie playing in front of you.
The past is always there and makes them think twice why they shouldn't be together but love finds a way into their hearts and doesn't want to let go.
Although I've read many of the author's books, I'm still captivated by her words and how she manages to make the pages flowing away without even realising.
Devious Lies is an angsty and steamy story that everyone should read.

I read Shantel Tessier’s story and I want more!!! Such a tease!
Steamy read, hot scenes and chemistry off the charts, this story will make you want to drink champagne and have your other half next to you

I have mixed feelings about this story. I love many parts and the characters but I also can’t get over certain scenes or acts.
It’s beautiful and powerful as we’re used to from the author and it’s angsty and makes you think a lot of what would you do in those moments, the decisions that you’ve made would be the same? The feelings?

When you see me by @lisagardnerbks is definitely a 5

This book is definitely in my favourite of the year. I found the writing style very good, the characters interesting and the story overall entertaining as well as challenging. It makes me want to see a movie made out of it.
Her gift to see through the letters and people facades can be a bless and a curse at the same time for the heroine but that's why fate decided to bring together two different characters from different social backgrounds, to become friends and more than that with time through those letters and what each letter symbolises.
Many people will enjoy this slow burn love story .

My first book by the author and I’m not a fan of small-town stories but this book was definitely something different from what I’ve read before.
I liked the chemistry, the connections between the main characters and the friendship and how reliable the side characters are as well as the 5 years old boy.
The writing was great, the banter had me laughing so much and the love story is exactly what I’m looking for in my books.
