I always loved second chance romance and this book proves why I really enjoy a great love story. A beautiful story that goes through a lot of angst and obstacles to finally have that happy for now if not happily ever after ending.
I liked the characters and the dynamics between them was really good, the banter, the tension, everything made for an enjoyable read.

Just wow!
This story had me feeling so much that I couldn’t take a break while reading it.
In the usual great writing, we have a marriage of convenience that becomes more that that in just ten days. Why ten days you want to know? Well, you gonna have to read the book to understand because I won’t give any spoilers on this story.
I loved everything about it, from the long time friendship and the secret that bounds them together, I had my heart broken in million pieces at the beginning of the book and it may give some triggers for some readers, but you have to read it all to understand everything. The duke is like the Beast that finds himself unable to fall in love with his wife and the mystery and suspense they get through while in their honeymoon will keep you up all night for sure.
I can’t wait to read the next stories of this series.
Don’t walk, run buying this book!

Even if it's my first book by the author it won't be the last. I am always looking out to see why other readers are liking or disliking some books or authors and Linwood Barclay is a well-known name that i needed to read.
I must admit that i am not a fan of the elevators and this book was a bit of a trigger for me but from the first page i just couldn't put it down.

In all the big cities, there are accidents and murders to be solved, people can get into a panic from anything and there's no wonder why everything in this book seemed so real and that could or have been happening in real life already.

I enjoyed the story overall, the characters and the journalist, the way they tried to get the truth out from everyone and how they wanted to keep the city safe.
Looking forward to more books by the author.

Thanks to netgalley, the author and the publisher for my review copy.

Another first read from the author for me and i don't exactly know how i feel about this story.
It's very compelling, there are a lot of questions that i felt like i got only half-answers, it might be just me and my lack of knowledge about the time period and how people were travelling and living in those years.

The first half of the book it's good but the second part it's definitely great and i couldn't stop reading. I loved the writing and it felt like flowing throughout the pages and chapters.
The characters are very intriguing and i liked the differences between them, i liked how the author mixed the multicultural main character with a strong background and how he wanted to try and find himself, see himself in the mirror as of who he really is and what he wants from his life.
As for the mixing up the events from his past, i really enjoyed the way the author has written them as in real life we often see that our mind can always play tricks on us when a situation like that occurs.

Thanks to the publisher, author and NetGalley for my review copy.

I enjoyed this book quite a lot even if the technical terms and items added in the story felt a bit surreal at times, it didn't stop me reading and thinking that this is very doable and one day maybe it will become something normal in our day by day living.
We are looking for the perfect people to surround us, but that perfect for us it's not always the same perfect for others.
The story's well written and engaging, with compelling characters and the tech added another layer of mystery and how the usage of it brings more awareness to the life we live now.

I haven't read the first book in the series but i didn't feel like missing much.
A fast-paced, well written and intriguing story that made me read it in one sitting and on the edge all the time.
I liked all the characters and each one brought something new to the story and another layer to mix and match them perfectly. There are many turns and twists, some predictable and some that i didn't see them coming my way and that it's why i loved this story so much because it makes you second guess so much but at the end delivers the perfect amount of feelings and sensations in a great mystery-crime thriller.

thanks to the publisher, author and NetGalley for my copy.

I always feel more conscient when i have to travel and we need to stay at a hotel or rent something while we're on holidays just because of the privacy breaches and this book is the definition on why i feel like that.
A fast-paced read, i finished it in a few hours because i just couldn't stop reading, a mix of characters that deserves an OSCAR premium for the mental health issues and behaviour showed as well as a rollercoaster of emotions because there are so many twists and turns that won't leave space for a break. It's scary at times, may not be for everyone but it's a very good story that needs to be read by everyone who loves the genre.

I wanted to like this book much but unfortunately, i just couldn't.
Something was missing in my opinion, not sure what but i just felt like the story wasn't the fast-paced thriller that i was expected and the story overall felt a bit odd to say at least.
I liked the idea of multiple pov because we can always find more and i think it adds to the characters to see what they think and how they see the events. Unfortunately, I couldn't relate to any character. It felt a bit forced everything. I understand that sometimes a pregnant woman can get obsessed with something and some may blame it on the hormones but the mysterious disappearance of her husband's ex and what we get to find about their past it felt a bit unnecessary. Maybe i just got the wrong idea of what i wanted from the book and what i got, but that it's all upon me.

I usually stay away from the billionaire titles because i feel like there are too many out there and in real life we just can't relate to so many of them, but again, i love my stories because they talk about people and real feelings no matter what they do or if they had the chance to become more than others in life.
I enjoyed this fake relation and how each one of the main characters is so different but so well matched together. Their banter and moments were fun and lovely to see how they fall for each other.
the only thing that i didn't like was the relation that Ash had with his brother and that it wasn't really a confrontation or what i was expected from them as i got the feeling it will happen when Ash asked Ellie for the big favour.

A story that starts very slow and because i haven't read the other two books in the series, i felt like missing something but so big. I was intrigued because i always look for different and unique mysteries to be solved and this story did hold my attention after the first quarter more because as i said, it starts slow but when it picks up, it's just don't stop!
Crime after crime, the guilty person is trying to cover his traces but the detective Lauren won't give up so easy in finding the culprit.
It's a mystery crime story, a Cold Case episode even (which i love) with so many turns and twists that will keep you wanting more and more.
The ending was brilliant but i still have questions that i feel like weren't answered but hopefully, there will be another book in the series.
