Unmaking Grace by Barbara Boswell -an interesting story based in Cape Town in the 1980s and of course I couldn't relate to it but I was intrigued by the story and it all goes at a very fast pace, there are so many situations and small things that happen and it really looks like a real-life story. Grace was the young woman who witnessed something terrible and would never get over it, she is the teenager who falls in love with a boy that disappears, she's a woman who makes a life of her own but certain things from the past are coming back to get her world upside down and she has to take some decisions that will change her future.
Overall, I enjoyed the book because it really felt real and shows that we have to think twice about any decision that we take in life and usually it's still not the smartest one.

4.5 stars
A new to me author and a great read to start with.
Sometimes in life when you expect less, someone will come into your life like a whirlwind and turn it upside down. A once in a lifetime encounter with a mysterious but very gentleman British man, makes the lovely teacher to reconsider her life options and a romantic love story begins.
I loved the writing and the fast-paced action with a few reliable moments of a couple that is trying to have a relationship while Philip is travelling around the word and Charley is feeling lonely and insecure at times. That until she meets Ben and his son.
There are some twists and turns that I honestly didn't see it coming but left me speechless. There are also many life lessons and phrases that I've liked and saved because the author has created a beautiful story about love, illness, loss and how one should overcome the obstacles in their path to find the happiness that everyone deserves in life.
I gave 4.5 stars because there is a twist that I personally can't agree with but I totally understand why was happening.
''Happiness wasn't overrated. It was a gift meant to be cherished and held tight.''
I am looking forward to more stories by the author as I am intrigued to see what great books she will bring towards us.

Arc received in exchange of an honest review from NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing-very grateful

Jeezzz, the freaking ending!!! Again!!!
I love series but not cliffhangers that will let you wishing to wait for the whole series to be published so you can binge read uninterrupted because of OMG these books and characters!
It continues a few days after Broken Wings ended and honestly, I am so glad that Riles moved from the compound and is trying to distance herself from the boys and families. But some decisions will bring along not so good situations where she will find out what the protection of the boys and how powerful the families are indeed.
It's a fast-paced story as usual, with heartbreaking moments, there are questions from the first book answered but I have even more questions now because we find out bits about all the boys and their life and I feel like I want each one of them to have their books especially Dylan. I’m so happy that Dante comes clean about his life and OMG, Riley's father?? and her mother??? Oh, and her love story with Beck!!!
I can't wait to read what happens next with this addictive group.

Honestly, could BB Reid be more addictive than this?
There are millions of authors out there, all with a gift of creating stories that will remain with you for a long time ,but for me since I discovered her books I said I can't find someone more addictive, her words just drawn you in the story without even realizing and you just can't stop reading till the last page and even then you want more and more.
The word created is so real and all the feelings and turns and twists that Lou and wren felt along this story were like ours, as one of our friends.

””“You have problems with trust, don’t you?” “Everyone does. Some have trouble giving it, and some have trouble keeping it. We all learn that the hard way.””

Yes, there are moments when you may say, no that doesn't happen in real life but guess what, it does and it's more terrifying than we can imagine.
It's a beautiful love story between teenagers that became friends in one moment of an unfortunate situation and we get onto an adventure full of love, angst, heartbreaking, denial, lust and everything in between for two souls that are finding their way in life.

””Lou was my onus. My light. The very last tether to my soul. I couldn’t risk losing her. It was out of the question. She meant so much more to me than a hot, dirty fuck. I needed her, more than she needed me.””

””He could have been my white knight, but his armor didn’t shine. It was shrouded in darkness, and it was only a matter of time before it swallowed him whole.””

A best friends to lovers, slow burn love that is much more than you can expect and you will have your heart beating so hard for some memorable laugh out loud moments, heartbreaking and denial of their true feelings, to the satisfying ending.
Read it and you won't be disappointed.

Friends from childhood, this couple couldn’t be more perfect together.
I love her and her big heart and everything she is doing to help the ones that need help when everyone else are failing them.
I wanted to smack Teo so many times over his head for being such a stupid guy and come upfront about his feelings from the beginning.
I can’t wait to read the next books and more even to see where their story goes to as I know I’m in for a treat.

As I haven’t read many books set around WWII, I cannot compare this book with others. But I just got hooked on the story and plot from the first page to the end.
A great writing style, not overwhelming but on the perfect amount of characters descriptions, surroundings and everything that happens which is one of things that made me read the book in one sitting as well.
My heart broke for Rhys and his son, for what transpired between them and how life turned around on their face but I wanted to know and keep reading to see how this is going to end. No humans can be free of their past , especially those who went through hard situations and all the remorse and flashbacks will always hunt them.
Suspenseful, engaging and eyes opening, this story will be with me for a long time and everyone should read it.

Thanks for the opportunity to read NetGalley.

New to me author and so happy that I discovered her work.
Coming from an eastern-European country that was under the communist regime for a long time, as a child, I’ve heard a lot of stories from my grandfather and the neighbours when I was spending my winter holidays in the countryside with them.
I can only say that most of the situations presented in the book are real and I felt my heart breaking so many times for our heroine.
It’s a great writing style, a fast paced read with a lot of hard decisions to take and such a strong heroine. I loved how she tried to get over anything and make herself looking for an escape and also trying not to have a mental breakdown because honestly any other woman wouldn’t go as far as she did to find her lost grandmother in a country that you don’t know if you’re coming back from.
I loved this book and made me think about many decisions that I’ve taken in my life and if I would change anything.
My only complaint: I wanted a HEA for her , especially after she went back to her life , maybe even what she was feeling disappointed after a month, just like a consolation at least. I know I’m vague about this but you have to read the book and you’ll understand what I’m talking about.

So intrigued

I have no words to say about this book and story because it combines perfectly so many great things that I’m looking forward in my books.
I enjoyed this story about power play over the world and love and lost and everything else that’s in between.
The love between our hero and his wife has no limits and even if his profession is one of the most dangerous in the world, he’s there for her at every possible moment.
Trying to save the world from a terrorism group and even from a unknown organisation with unrealistic resources and mass destruction weapons, our MI6 agent goes through a lot in this gripping thriller that kept me on the edge at all times.
Can’t wait to read the next books and discover more intrigues and speechless situations that will keep me awake all night.

Love it

Who could not fall in love with a sexy dirty mouthed French teacher?
Same great writing for this forbidden love story that kept me up all night reading and left me wanting the second book immediately.
I absolutely love the cover and can’t wait for more.

Interracial love

4.5 stars
I liked this story and the book part of the Cavalieri Della Morte series.
It was my first read from the author and I enjoyed the writing style.
The story was a bit different from the others as it involved more the legal departments and it was an interesting ride with all the twists and turns that the book took over. Moreover , the relationship and chemistry between 2 members of rival families and the interracial connection between them added to the love story more that I expected.
A well written fast paced story that it's definitely worth your time to read it.
