I haven’t read many books by the author in the past and this one was definitely a great surprise and fresh breath of air.
I loved the adrenaline that rushed through my veins while reading this story and while I didn’t knew most of the characters, I could easily distinguish them throughout the book.
It was interesting to see how the author will bring an end to this story when there were so many loose ends opened and I wasn’t disappointed at all in the end. Yes, the door is left wide open for the next instalment, but what I’ve read today it’s definitely a read that sold me the whole series.

Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy

Where do I start?

That cover is so beautiful, and it really depicts the way I see our heroine. A strong lead, from a diverse group of characters that is also compassionate and human and beautiful inside.

Evan is a Scottish lord that became enraptured by her beauty even if he doesn’t want to admit it in the beginning.

The author has a way with her words and I loved her stories in the past for inclusion and, most of all, for the way the story just flows and makes you dream of the settings and characters.

The chemistry in this book is undeniable, and while we know they will end up with a happily ever after, the way to that is very tumultuous. But, somehow, with all the difficulties that come their way, it’s a doable thing and it really made me read the story in one sitting.

Steamy, warm and fuzzy heart, in the capital of love, these characters make a beautiful romance worth every second of your life spend in their company.

As someone who just found this series, I think I’m missing quite a lot from the character growth part, but I haven’t had any problems with following the story as it is.
It’s easy going and enough fast-paced to keep me entertained and glued to my seat to find out what’s happening next and who’s the actual killer.
It was interesting to see how the friendship and working together relationship took off from the beginning to the end . There are quite a few puzzles to be solved in here and I found the author’s way of writing it, immensely addictive.
A must read story that made me wonder about previous books in the series and hopefully I can get to read some in the near future.

Full review to come soon

What a fireball thriller! I’ve read and enjoyed many of the author’s stories in past and couldn’t miss the opportunity to read this one either.

A killer that was assumed to be dead a year ago, seems to come back to life in the new, more settled small town.

The characters connected right from the start and while this book is quite short, maybe half of what I’m used to read, it made for a good story overall. I had my theories proven in the end, although it was clear who the arsonist was early in the story. But that didn’t take from my enjoyment one bit.

Looking forward to read more soon by the author.

A great second story of this series. I know I’m late to the party but I enjoyed it and the investigation was engaging and suspenseful, especially the one on his own.

KU read

If you know me, you know I love thrillers and romance. I couldn't live with none of them anymore. If you mix them together, I can live happily all my life.

When one of your favourite authors brings out a new madness of a story, you bet I will drop everything and read it right away.

Lovely bad things is the first book in the new series Hollow’s Row.

To say that if I could give it ten starts, I would without taking a breath.

Halen and Kallum are not your ordinary characters. When they have to work together to solve a crime, there's over one spark that catches fire.

It feels like a whole window opened out for both of them to explore more and more into the darkness and deeper into the other's soul.

They play a cat-and-mouse game, but a psychological one that had me reeling and left me speechless so many times. And I mean, not just once, but at every turn, there's another twist, another turn that this story takes .

My heart barely had time to calm down after so many pumps of adrenaline when I got to that dreaded ending. But I’m so happy it's not over, because that cliffhanger left me craving so much more of this pure madness!
