When sparks fly by Helena Hunting
As usual, the author brings to life a beautiful story between two characters that are so much like two magnets. Opposites attract with a heartbreaking life but a story full of life and emotions and where that love of life can lead.
It's not always easy for Avery to open up and it's not always easy to be present at all times even when not required, but Declan is there at all times and I just couldn't stop cheering for him along the way.
Their interaction was so interesting to watch and knowing Helena, she put her mark in with her humour in the most unexpected moments.

Over the years, I've read a few of her books but not The Washington Wolves series, so I had no idea who were the parents of the heroine and didn't know what to expect.
Nevertheless, I loved it. It's the perfect balance between a young love with all that journey to find themselves and learn how to trust and, more than never, to find love and accept to be loved.

I loved the romance side in here and how the characters that work together are so focused on investigating the murder on the tourist island but also keep their private life on the line. Tess is such a great female character, and her curiosity and backbone had me cheering out for her throughout the pages. Thrilling and addictive, with a few twists that left me in awe, Buried Bones is a must read story.

Heartbreaking and raw feelings towards this story. It’s going to be a rollercoaster of emotions for the reader, a bit different from what the author usually writes but so good.
I had so many mixed feelings while reading it, I still haven’t got over the ending because it’s something that, in a way you expect more from a psychological thrillers but also I was thinking that maybe it will happen. I know I’m not making sense but you gonna have to read it to understand.
It’s raw and dark and treats a lot of couples issues, family and trust, betrayal and lost of hope, as well as more important things that many times we only hear about them from the news but we don’t pay attention.
I wish there will be another book to continue with and maybe Sam to have her own book.

This was my first book by the author and in this series. The description and cover really grabbed my attention, and the story didn’t disappoint at all.
I really enjoyed how the author has portrayed the main characters and how real and reliable are some of them. I love everything fiction but when an author brings to life so many real life traits, it’s always a bonus in my cards.
Immigration and human trafficking are always a hard topic, and as a person who lived surrounded by it most of my childhood life, it touched a few chords in me.
Loved all the twists and turns that the investigations took with each new chapter and, while i found the ending a bit too rushed, it made me want to check and add to my tbr list the previous books as well.

After reading the first chapter, I couldn’t put it down. I honestly had all sorts of theories in y head and some proved me right, others proved that I was so wrong. As usual, don’t believe everything that is in front of you.
The story is told at a fast pace, with two different timelines, from when Matt and Annabel met, to the present and switches between them with each new key moment. Wat I did found interesting was to have the kidnapper pov as well. That’s always interesting to read how their mind works and what makes them become the villain of the story.

I wouldn't know what to choose if you asked me what book I love more from this series. Because all three are phenomenal and exactly the type of stories that I’m always looking forward to, no matter what my moods are. Especially since I got so used to the author's writing and her way of making everything seem so easygoing and likeable but with an unmissable touch of reality and topics that aren't easy to write about.
Now, Oliver is the perfect on paper playboy that lives his life carelessly and doesn't think too much about it, or at least that's how he's depicted in the beginning. I loved him by the end because there's always a reason for anyone to behave in certain ways and how he opens up to Dallas was so beautiful to read.

I loved him by the end because there's always a reason for anyone to behave in certain ways and how he opens up to Dallas was so beautiful to read.
I want Dallas to be my real-life friend. And that should say it all.

I haven’t read the first book by the author and I know how hyped and well acclaimed it’s that one because every other person will recommend it. But, to be honest, I don’t think I’ve missed much and we might read this story as a stand-alone.
The writing was exquisite and the characters are so amazing pictured that I felt like actually seeing all the words on a screen, like in a movie. I was sad with them; I cried a bit at some chapters, but I also cheered them out on every occasion.
