Jess Bridges is a new heroine that I love in mystery/crime genre.

She’s strong and resilient and her character driven kept me up for a few hours to devour this new series.

Imagine the terror of finding a dead body while swimming. This book is addictive and the turns and twists kept coming with each page turned. As the body count starts to grow, so the uncertainy that something is not really right. But as a great heroine, even facing her terrible past and being on the spectrum of ADHD, Jess has become a woman that will always fight for what’s right and won’t step aside in front of any obstacle.

Black River is a mystery story that many readers will enjoy as much as me for sure.

After reading Black River, this book set up my love for the Jess Bridges series.

Leo and Jess have to discover who could kill a young woman and drop her body in a very historical setting. I will be honest, this book reminded me so much of a Midsummer Murders episode about secret society where once you are in, it’s difficult to get out and the interaction with the outside world is almost inexistent. Going undercover takes a lot of courage and strength, particularities that our heroine posses in full, and her quirky mind and humor made it once again an addictive read.

Fast-paced, suspenseful and unstoppable read, this is another favourite story by a now must read author.

True crime story, darker than I usually read but interesting and enjoyable overall.

From the first chapter, I was intrigued to see what happens with a murderer child, now a young woman who has her own life, a new name, a child and a boyfriend. When a child disappears, someone is connecting the murders with her past and everything changes for her.

It’s a bit creepy even, suspenseful and intriguing all the same.

Talk about a real gripping thriller.

The Vatican conspiracy was a nonstop read for me. From the first page I just couldn’t put it down.

I mean, spies and intricate suspenseful moments where a priest is our main hero and a heroine that keeps him on his toes, it’s more than I have expected from this story.

Full of intrigue, fast-paced moments and twists that won’t stop, kept me on the edge throughout the book with each page turned and I honestly can’t wait for the next books in the series because the author has set the bar high with this new must read series.

Talk about taking risky chances.
Once again , Alex Kane has taken me on a ride with another gripping thriller where the heroines are not your usual female characters and the underground life of London comes up and front in this story.
if you like a suspenseful novel with an unusual setting, this book is for you.

I feel like I’m loosing track with all the new series that I’ve read lately.

And then, there are some heroes that come out in front of others, like in this case, Jack Tate, a brit SAS character that will do everything he can to save the world from a terrorist attack in a world that relies so much on electrical usage nowadays.

Imagine having to live without light and electricity, not being able to communicate and get the news through your phone or internet or tv.

It’s a must read gripping thriller, full of suspenseful twists, some predictable, some very unexpected, with great driven character development and a start of a series that many lovers of the genre will enjoy.

I haven't read the first book in the series, First Girl Gone yet, but after reading this second one, I'm looking forward it because there are many great things that I need answers to.
The story is full of suspenseful twists and turns that kept me glued to my kindle because I love a great family drama when that family is rich and famous and they are all about the millions and how to always look the part when in reality it's nothing like that.
It's a fast paced read, with many characters that have a special effect in the story and bring all the suspense in the who and why murdered Dutch.
Everyone has a secret and a motive to hide something and the author manages to write an interesting story overall about power, revenge and greediness.

It’s my first book by the author but I feel like I need to go back and read the first in the series because there are many things i need to know and I have questions that need answers.

A story full of romantic elements, with two driven characters that will do anything and everything for the love ones.

It’s a story about life and how many times we forgive others, but not ourselves.

Overall, is an emotional ride that many readers of the genre will enjoy, where not everything is as simple as black or white or even blue as the sky.

Somehow, i seem to end up in the middle of a series where the characters have been presented in the previous books but this didn't shortened my enjoyment for this romantic suspense book.
Tully, an FBI agent, is the ultimate alpha that you will look foreword. He's a true gentleman, in and out of the sheets. Natalie is a strong heroine that will melt his cold stone exterior and while she's trying to make a new life for herself after so much suffering, she falls in love with him when least expected.
I enjoyed the dialogue and the steaminess, the secondary characters as well as the suspenseful moments. It really makes me want to read the previous books because the other characters have left a big impression on me so here i go.

arc provided by the publisher Montlake through Netgalley.

I am a sucker for a great second chance romance and this book it's one of the best that i've read in the topic.
Teenager love can never be forgotten but life has other plans and while years past, when their pat crossover again, it's an opportunity that none of them can miss because that flame reignites again and this time is more bright and strong than ever.
A romantic suspense full of heartbreaking moments and a true love that deserves all the happily ever after in the world.
