Body Count is another page-turner story that I had to read in one sitting.
I enjoyed to go back and read more about Susan and Burke because I loved them in the first book and they definitely needed more time to grow their relationship and feelings.
Somehow, the author manages to surprise me every time I try a new book by her.
She writes turning points that I personally haven’t read much before and maybe it’s because I lived sheltered in big cities around the world and, as crazy as it sounds, it always gave me a fake safety sensation but it’s quite interesting to see how everything develops in this story and how, even after reading the books, I go back and think about those situations, what would I do and how would I react to them.
Susan is a smart and strong independent woman and she amazed me with her abilities to keep herself in check during everything she went through but also for her compassion at the end, something that many people would not even think about giving a second of their thoughts. Burke is the perfect hero in every possible way and together they are the perfect couple to a happily ever after story.

If you want your heart taken out of your chest and put it back together, this book is definitely for you.
The best friends who get to live and know each other since they are 6 and 8 years old, get through everything in life together. From the childhood memories to the first butterflies and love and heartbreaking moments. The angst is expected from the author but this story takes another on another level and it’s heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.

A story about new beginnings and friendship, a new vision of the future and a great dialogue.
There’s enough angst, heartbreak and love to balance a story worth of your time.

It’s been a while since I’ve read a book by the author and now I feel like I’ve lost so much all this time.
I loved everything in this story. The secrets, the banter and that ending! I didn’t expect that!
Highly recommend it for a few great hours of reading pleasure.

Many times, we judge people only by their appearance but to get to know them and know what really happens in their life and with their bodies it’s a step forward that many people don’t have the courage or willingness to take it because it implies more awareness and feelings that they are ready to give. But fortunately, there are many others that are taking that opportunity and I loved how the author has written this love story. It’s real and it touches many contemporary topics. .

What have I just read????
I was so intrigued by the whole story that I haven’t seen that ending coming my way at all. I mean, i got that many things didn’t add up but I’m still shocked at the twists of this story. Just brilliant.

Hm, not sure how I really feel about this story.
It was well written and intriguing and kept me interested at all times.
Now, the plot wasn’t so authentic as I was expecting as many others have written it but there are nuances that makes a difference to a great few hours of reading. I do feel though that there could’ve been more moments to it, more scenes where we get inside Gabriel’s life and not just broken pieces.
Overall it’s a good book and I did enjoyed it and will definitely read more by the author.

This was my first book by the author and was quite interesting to see how everything will unfold. Every now and then I enjoy a darker story and this one was just perfect for my moods.
I liked both of the main characters and looking forward to the next book as I need their hea.

I love the author and all of her stories are always pushing boundaries to me and makes me fall in love with every single character in her series or stand alone books, but somehow, this book felt a bit flat for me. Especially the first half . I just couldn’t get into the story without loosing interest every now and then.
I’ll be reading and recommending her books always but this one wasn’t a favourite for me unfortunately.
