It’s a muddled mess. 

I really tried, but this story just drags. I found myself getting bored with the repetition. DNF at 45% 

I managed 50 pages, but the central character is incredibly irritating. I couldn’t take it anymore!

The first book was great. But in this one the central character was more concerned with getting laid than solving a murder. Made it 30% before DNF

I made it 35%

I received an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Unfortunately, this ended up being a DNF for me. I cannot suffer fools, and the protagonist really rubbed me the wrong way. Ah well...
