Reread 2023: It's interesting to think that the first time I read this I liked it even better than the first book, because while I still very much enjoyed this as a sequel and on its own, the first book is still so strong in my mind from when I reread it earlier this year. Fingers crossed that I finally get to the third and final book this time around, in a (relatively) timely manner.

I aspire to be eileen cotton (senior). Overall, had some issues but this book just felt so cozy. There is some, but that's not really the focus in this book. I will say, don't expect a whole lot of romance going in. There is some, but that's not really the focus in this book.
(also can we please stop describing dreamcatchers as decorations or "knick knacks" or whatever? maybe i'm overreacting- it was literally a throwaway line- but indigenous reviewers have always been saying this. the least we can do is listen and act accordingly)
