Aside from the (once in a) Blue (moon) Queen title, I really enjoyed this book. I thought the first two were a bit predictable, but this book was really interesting and few of my guesses were way off mark. Still really loving most of the characters and the world feels really put together and cohesive at this point. I'm definitely looking forward to what's in store for everyone and will be reading the next book as soon as I get my hands on a copy.

Holy shit, I wish I had jumped on this bandwagon when this book first came out. It was fantastic! The world felt expansive and fleshed out, and the characters were exceptionally well defined. The plot was interesting, and all of this combined, created a book that I couldn't put down, flew through, and had me craving more.

Luckily, I have another book that I can start right away with the third book coming out soon. Though, I think I'll be gutted by the end of it.

I felt like this was missing something. It needed more story, more character development, more build up, just more. It was a pretty interesting concept, but I don't think it worked well as a novella. And without the characters having more time to grow, I wasn't invested in any of them.

Brilliant writing, setting, and characters. I loved Binti's intelligence, sense of self, and her love of family and tradition, all while having a need to explore a future for herself.

Like most novellas, I wish this was longer. But, I have two more books to immerse myself into this story and world.

Cute book with a good lesson / moral to the story. I thought all the characters were interesting, especially Leo. It was fun following her story and discovering her family secrets along side her.

Showcasing women in STEM fields is so freaking important for our future. We make up half the population and a woman can absolutely be the person to create a cure for cancer, or discover the next black hole, or a new species, or uncover an extinct species, be the first person on Mars, anything.

These women show us that we can not be held back or limited by our circumstances. And that knowledge really is an incredibly powerful thing to always work to obtain. No matter the costs.

I've clearly watched too many crime dramas/thrillers because the first inkling I had of the who dunnit, ended up being right.

The characters were all really interesting and flawed, and I loved the writing. Will definitely be reading other books by this author!

This was mildly entertaining and a quick read, but nothing grabbed my attention here (outside of the minimal art work - that was great!)

The characters were a bit of a bore and the plot itself was pretty lackluster. I'm not sure I'll be picking up another book by this author any time soon.

Re-read 2019
I felt like this was really worth the reread. I took more in this time around, understood a bit more, and still really liked how dark it was. Even though this is a Flash story, I think my favorite is still Batman. He took broodiness to a while new level.

First read review below:

This was my first Flash comic, and other than watching Justice League and Justice League: Unlimited, I don't know much about the character or his life. Even so, I wanted to give him a try, and I'm happy I started with this. It was dark, disturbing and really fascinating to read. The artwork was great, and I really enjoyed the plot.

Definitely interested in trying out more Flash comics in the future.
