Growing up in the ‘80s and ‘90s, I’ve always like Michael J. Fox. He seemed like a good dude, and I mean, come on, he was Marty McFly! Reading his first autobiography solidified my original thought, he’s a good guy. I liked hearing the way he talked about his wife and their life together, so sweet. Looking forward to reading his next book soon. 

This story started off incredibly intriguing and I was very excited to read what I thought would be a funny rom com. Unfortunately it kinda fell flat and I feel like the author added in extra smut and spice to make up for whatever else the story missed when it fell flat. Also, I read this via audiobook and the male narrator was HORRIBLE!!  I almost DNF due to his cringy voice. 

This is not a spoiler, it’s obvious this is an enemies to lovers trope, however, I wasn’t buying it. It just didn’t feel real enough. Carolina is in her head far too much for the reader to even believe this could be a thing. Also, the book is too long to be so blah. I started it once and DNF, then decided to give it another go and alas, I feel like this story was a waste of my time. 

This is a book that covers the hot topics of today (and yesterdays as well). The author does a good job shedding light on multiple points if view on several of the controversial subjects. It’s not a book you’d pick up and read again and again, but it’s a good one-time read. 

I started reading this book with a mindset that not a lot of people liked it, but it has been talked about so much on many of the book pages I follow. So I figured I’d give it a go. 

It’s def a YA book. A coming of age story set mostly during the high school years. But it’s really good for that age group/genre. A little cringe, but looking back, isn’t that whole part of life a little cringe? The book did have a bit of an abrupt ending, when I really could’ve used a little more to tie it up nicely. 

I enjoyed this book. I was constantly going from character to character to figure out whodunnit. The plot was fast paced and didn’t contain a lot of extra fluff, which was nice. 

This was an incredibly fascinating story! 

This book wasn’t my jam. I had to really work to get thru it and was looking forward to whatever book awaited me once I finished Before We Were Yours. 

Anxious People was certainly a bizarre read! It was neat how the stories all came together.  However, after reading A Man Called Ove and now this book, I can say that Backman is not one of my favorites authors. 

I’m a big fan of Christina Lauren books, but this one was not one of my favorites. I felt like the characters just didn’t really connect/feel real. Also, I read this one via audiobook and I didn’t enjoy the narrators. They can truly make or break a book. I’m sure this was a one off, as this is not how I usually feel after reading Christina Lauren.
