We all know I will read anything about rich people and scammers and this did not disappoint!

This had a Frederick Backman energy to me that I appreciated but was just a little too high-brow for me.

This is another book filled with normal people doing normal things, but described in a way that I couldn’t get enough! I love a family story, and I LOVE a restaurant setting. I resonated so much with Jane, I felt like I was reading about myself and seeing into my future. This made me want to live in Chicago, especially as an older adult, and I loved the Lake Forest stereotypes, lol. My only gripe is that everyone being both very Catholic and very liberal is not realistic, jealous of these fake people for figuring that out. There were so many little lines throughout this book that were just so smart & fun. Loved it!

This is such a beautiful book! Much of it was just normal people doing normal things, but written in such a beautiful way that I felt so invested in the story and family- I totally understood their reasonings behind what they did and felt very connected to it all. Highly recommend!
