It was heading for a one star review until about p.275.

Last 100 or so pages were credible but I was just frustrated with the majority of it. Too slow, too much single person monologue for me.

I don't mind an unlikeable or sloppy lead but Maggie is beyond unbearable for about 2/3rds of this book. It needed a severe edit and more parts with Lydia the dog to make Maggie seem like someone with some positive personality traits. Perhaps aimed at readers under the age of 25 who think 29 is too old to start again but not for me.
