GREAT book. Hurt too bad.

This the second time I've tried to read this book and I just can't do it. 

We get it, the female characters have boobs. 

Too slow of a build. I can't get a grasp on the characters or the plot, and the magic isn't fantastic enough to keep me engaged.

Maaaaaaaan another Mieville that’s too weird for me! The disjointed dialogue didn’t help either. I felt like i was reading a bad Google Translate.

I couldn’t get a grasp on the plot - it’s not linear or action-driven, which I expected, but at this point I need something a lil bit better paced
