The this I knew about John Lewis's life could fit in a thimble. I really appreciate this format and I'm looking into reading his memoir and the rest of this series. The artwork was pretty good.
About the content, I appreciated the detailed look into nonviolent protesting because it was more nuanced than I expected. I also did not know about the restaurant counter sit ins. That they practiced abusing each other verbally and physically to prepare is smart and admirable. As is their boycotting places close to them physically and imortant to their local cause. We need that today. What also stuck out to me was how young he was and how he pointed out that older activists and vlack leaders didnt always understand. Thiggs change, people change and civil rights should change with the times as well. Previous generations dont always get it. And we don't have to always follow them. Seeing that John Lewis had this experience is heartening in some way I can't explain.

Definitely prefer these action-filled volumes to others. Because plot development happens as well. We got a surprise visit now everyone is racing against each other to achieve what they want. Everyone is so young. It's sad.

Much better than the previous volume. I was and was not expecting what happened when they reached amongolia. Ouni although was a surprise. At this point in the series I don't know how these kids can live peaceful lives off the mud whale. Anyway, this is a volume that keeps me interested in continuing the series unlike the last one.

Still loving this. Absolutely ridiculous but fun and endearing. Our Spy is really turning into a caring parent already, lol.

This turned out to be my favorite of the trilogy. And I was worried I would like it the least. I liked both of them as individuals and also their chemistry together. Both are relatable in their own ways. Sex scenes are great too. I am not autistic so though the rep in this book doesn't seem like tokenism to me, check an autistic reviewers opinions first for that. I was highly amused throughout several points of this book. Does this count as Hate to Love. I know its almost never actual hate. But I loved their bickering and differences. Grumpy-Sunshine definitely, which I love. I liked the ending though it was cheesy. Does it show emotional maturity that it only took them overnight to realize they fucked up? Lol. I just wish we got more of his friends and the festival.

Well, well, well. Sur[rises from beginning to end here. Definitely intrigued to find out what happens with everyone after this. And why everyone was looking for this object.
That was cool. I had only seen the TV show. The story is a bit different than I remember but it's modern. The themes seem a bit heavy-handed but they still make sense and correlate with current events. The art style I like. It seems to be a couple different types, I'm not sure. But I love the panels where the background gets blurred like it would when your camera or eyes focus on the foreground. The one-liners are not as good as I remember, lol. But humor is subjective. I really do like the storyline and want to see where it goes.

I have mixed feelings about this one. Probably because there was a mix of characters I'm really into and others I feel meh about. And the multiple pots constantly changing did not help. I've learned I do not like too many. They take me out of the story. That being said, overall I enjoyed this but not as much as the previous novel in this series. We ended with some surprises there. I am intrigued.
