i feel like iris ending up pregnant just...not ruined it but kinda soured the ending for me!! i feel like it would've been more impactful had she decided to come back without the baby being a factor!!

but overall my favourite of the series so far!

both emily and john had zero chemistry!!!! could not believe they even liked each other and john is sooooo shallow of a character i couldn’t tell you a discernible fact about other than he likes cars and is a dry texter. he’s so incredibly dry. and emily jumps around like crazy i’ve never met an mc who was so changeable but not in a fun way!!! and you can really really tell this author writes ya bc the prose is written like emily is TALKING TO YOU but again!! not in a fun way!!! i did not love it!!!

how is there still like 10 chapters to go oh my god…. this book needed some HEAVY editing it should not have been this long for a plot like this!!!!

and naomi might be one of the dumbest fmc i’ve ever read what!!! also anne was such an annoying best friend i hate when best friends in books are just super nosy and all in the fmc business like you aren’t even a proper character!!! the fact that i even stayed as long as i did was bc i kept waiting to see what happened when she realised that ‘jake’ was actually luca (the fact she’d never said his name out loud to him is so crazy) but

i don’t even care about the ending. the ending should’ve happened like an hour ago and we still have two hours left in this audio book. luca was a good character tho it’s just a shame the rest of the book is such a slog to get through
