This was one of the rare occasions when I had to force myself through a book. I borrowed it from a friend who recommended it because of all the awkward and weird deaths in it. But they weren't so weird for me. And the main narrator/protagonist is such a whiney, ego-centric douche. There were no revelations or even twists or anything that I didn't suspect. It was okay at best.
This is a great book. But it was a very hard read. It's blunt and brutally honest and personal. So beware a lot of triggers like selfharm/cutting/depression/eating disorders. It's outstanding how the contrast of the narrative/ content and the cute art style works. It's unsettling. It's throws you off balance. And it ends on a rather positive note.
Wonder Woman: Contagion
Gail Simone, Fernando Dagnino, Doug Hazlewood, Matt Ryan, Nicola Scott, Aaron Lopresti
There are two stories in this. The first one I did like a bit more. The second one had a bit of an abrupt ending.
A-Force, Volume 2: Rage Against the Dying of the Light
Kelly Thompson, Paulo Siqueira, Ben Caldwell
The first half was a bit more fun, more on the magical side. The second half was grim and Horror like mixed with Civil War II stuff. I still just love Singularity even if she doesn't play that big a part here.
Nifty little book about online trollz in real life and a female super hero 😉: "Who is AC?" by Hope Larson and Tintin Pantoja
This was really, really good. Dark, mystic horror with a spoonful of humour in it.
This was a great read. Gave me a lot to think about. Will read it again surely to ponder more about some aspects.
