It's 2,5 stars. It was okay.
Quite an odd read. Very cynical but at the same time the main character is so naive. Sometimes that's annoying. And it drags on a bit in the middle while the ending seems rushed. There were parts in it I liked but quite a few I didn't. Plot and solution was a bit too obvious for me.

Neat book that combines the passion for online gaming with the topics of workers' rights, compassion and standing up for each other.

this is not just a nice "what if.."-story, this is so much more. this is about love, companionship, responsibility, how we treat the world and each other. and all this told in Marguerite Bennet's uniqe writing style. there's no moral preaching, but rather a discussion of ideas. and of course there is a lot of blood and gore.

bonus: the first issue of "the rise" is in the trade as well. it tells another story in the same world.

It's Walpurgis Night tonight so I read this comic about teenage witchcraft, depression, sexuality and crushes.

It's very teenagey but I like the narrative and the characters and how they evolve. And I just like black and white comics.

Reading Lumberjanes is always the best Sunday evening activity. Tonight even more so. Volume 6 is a treat.
