it's a bit more confusing than Vol 1. but it's just as over the top and great. I didn't like that the big thing to prevent in this one is so blatantly American. But other than that: highly entertaining

wow vol 3 is definitely something different in tone. pretty dark and sad. all things fall apart, I guess, which is also true in part of the creating team as artist Tess Fowler was let go from the series :(

also: I really enjoyed the Braga Bonus story!

Ich bin ja keine regelmäßige Manga Leserin und deswegen völlig unbedarft und ohne Erwartungen an das Buch herangegangen. Die Bildsprache hat mir sehr gut gefallen, es gibt vor allem einige großartige Totalen. Inhaltlich waren mir die Figuren etwas zu weinerlich und sehr egozentrisch. Im letzten Drittel wird auch ein kurzer Text des Autors eingeschoben, der ein bisschen die Entstehung erklärt. Die stets mitschwingende Melancholie fand ich zwar ganz gut, aber die Monologe und Dialoge ein wenig stereotyp und simpel. Aber vielleicht geht auch durch die ÜBersetzungs ins Deutsche zu viel verloren.
Insgesamt auf jeden Fall einen Blick wert, v.a. für Leute, die mit den Standard Mangas nicht so viel anfang können

for a comic book that was released 16 years ago this is still an interesting read. it's heavy with dialogue and only little action. reminded me a bit of alan moore's storytelling style.

I know, I know, Silk seems a lot like a female Peter Parker of the 90s and early 2000s. But she more and more develops her own story and own agenda. She behaves differently than young Peter I liked this story and I just have a lot of feels for Cindy. I think the parts with Cindy being at a therapist were especially interesting.

I don't know why the artist changed twice (Stacey Lee for the beginning, Tana Ford for the middle and Veronica Fish for the third part, going back to Tana Ford for the final part) but it wasn't a problem for me. I liked the art of all of them.

Schönes kleines Büchlein. Tolle Haptik (wie immer bei Reprodukt). Die Story ist emotional und gibt einen kurzen Einblick in das Leben einer jungen Chinesin, die in Deutschland studiert. Es ist nur ein kurzer Auszug aus einem Leben und klar ist ein derartiger autobiographischer Comic nichts völlig neu oder überraschend. Trotzdem war es für mich interessant zu lesen und die wunderschönen aquarellartigen Zeichnungen fangen die Stimmungen perfekt ein. 10 Euro ist zwar etwas happig für ein dünnes Büchlein, aber ich fand es das Geld wert.

now this is how a wonder woman book should be like. a great range of emotions. great dialogue. And the second part of this book is perfect in regard of the upcoming wonder woman movie.

At the beginning I was a bit baffled as Vol 3 starts with a golden age like first page, but it became clear to me quickyl that Diana's past as a teenager is shown. It's the time she first met Ares/War (not an old drunk man then). The comic introduces quite a new number of new characters, classic mythology and modern, so the cast is really big now. I'm getting more and more excited how this will all end.
