Okay, but the audacity of this to be as cute as it is?? Surprisingly wholesome and a very (VERY) quick read :)

Not sure I “got” this one per se, but a quick and neat read nonetheless.

Not my usual kind of read, but somehow the first book of 2022 to nearly move me to tears. Can’t conceive not giving it five stars.

Saw someone on tumblr call this “white man madness” and… yeah. Could’ve been vague in a cool and spooky and almost dissociative way, but just came off as clunky and cheap. Bjorn isn’t even a little likeable. Really wanted to like this, but it just feels like Patrick Bateman in an episode of The Office… in the most boring way possible.

Not my favourite, but it has Too-ticky and is undoubtedly a moomin comic, with all the whimsy and wackiness that entails :)

This has the same feel as old Hollywood romance movies. The words have almost a sepia tint.
A lot of it I kinda slogged through, but in some moments, you can hear the violins play.
And also I wish the prose was better to the women. Why are their tits described so many weird ways holy shit

Gaaah, I wish I could love this even more, but the writing style is so viscous it sometimes slowed me down.
That said—there’s a beautiful, vivid story here and I adored it, start to finish. Not my first Le Guin, but I still can’t really handle her style in large doses.
That said—I doubt this’ll be my last, because I still loved it.
