I enjoyed this one much more than Still Beating, even though they are only loosely related. I loved Oliver so much, his brilliance mixed with his innocence was perfect. Sydney was great too. How she grew as a character once she realized her trauma was real too.
Alexis and Athena stole the show though, I loved them💜
Also, the meaning behind Lotus was so adorable 🥰

Hmm, this was so highly anticipated for me and it fell flat and now I'm sad 🥲
I thought this would be darker? The 3 weeks were surprisingly light to me, kinda glossed over with little emotion. I didn't feel the terror, anxiety, hopelessness or any emotion from them really. I did tear up at Blizzard tho - but dogs 🤷🏼♀️
Also, the way that Dean and Cora were treated when they got back - with very little sympathy - ESPECIALLY FROM HER BITCH OF A SISTER - pissed me off.
Overall, I would have liked more depth to the story, more feelings...I'm not really sure how to say what was missing for me 😅

This was a little all over the place and confusing. The premise of vampire hunter and vampire working together is perfect but it wasn't executed that well in the end. I would have liked everything to have been fleshed out a little more!

Overall, I enjoyed this book. I'm not sure if because it was so hyped that I was a little let down or something else, but it was boring in some parts.
I really liked Hart, his nerves and shaky hands he got and his love of dogs. His grief over Gracie was so sad, I teared up a.little each time.
I liked Mercy, and her family, although they were kind of their own worst enemy -if that makes sense. I thought the humor was good "those are enemy breasts"😂 and found the appendix plot-line funny -the soul being in an organ we don't need.
The world building was a little confusing at first but I eventually caught on and I enjoyed the epilogue quite a bit.
