✨3.5/5✨

I think the main thing I enjoyed about Jurassic Park, aside from a lot of the tense scenes, is the philosophical nature that it presents. I think the utilization of some characters to present this aspect was a really nice touch for me. That said, it was a little hard to find a lot of the characters likeable, and some feel, for the lack of a better term... lacking in how they were fleshed out.

While it is true, for me, that the book starts out really slow, once the plot thickens, it thickens greatly, and you are in then for a ride.

Splendid. I don't think I have anything else to say.
I personally really enjoyed the callbacks to the other books.
Like always, Suzanne Collins does a great job of laying out motivations in the character studies for her people. I cannot wait to see how this would translate onscreen.

Scoring a solid four for the first read of the year is Howl's Moving Castle, which is wildly different from the movie version. This was a very fun read: funny and whimsical and cozy all in one.

Relatively an easy book to get through. It feels more like a personal chronicle to me that circles back to certain particular points, but it does offer some insights that are heartwarming and hopeful in real instances of a campaign.

Very informative regarding the things that happened during the 2022 Philippine elections. This explores topics that contributed to the way the political landscape is as it is now.

The book was so over-the-top with its jokes that it seemed either not to deliver or to be so ridiculous. A lighter read, though, and the references are great.

"Snow lands on top."

This was such an interesting book!! It is easy to hate Snow from reading the first Hunger Games books as it gives us the impression that he is just downright evil. But this prequel, set from Snow's life from before, gives us key points about his character, past, and motivations. Definitely a good read.

P. S. Sejanus is my favorite character fr

Stunning, brilliant, fantastic—there are so many words to describe the book. It made me cry so many times, it made me tense so many times, and it was heavy in a way that clings to your heart and perhaps your very being after you read it. It highlights so many realistic tragedies of war, and I think it's a book worth reading for that alone.

More tense than the last book, for sure! The second book in the Hunger Games is a brilliant combination of deadly and tense, woven with intricate character motivations that really gets you. I just can't help but want a little more time with some characters because I got attached too, but still. Wonderful! Series definitely made its way to my heart.

Read this book with my toddler cousin and he seemed so very interested to learn things! It's a very nice book, and definitely recommended for kids at a young age, but I bet the adults would have fun reading it too (I sure did)!
