I love these little novella short story things. I enjoy getting to learn the history of some of the characters, the moments in their lives that ultimately set them on the path to where they are in the main novels. And the behind-the-scenes look at what was going on during the big happenings. Very fun.

Originally I rated this at 4 stars. It was good but not great. In the month or 2 since I've read it, I've decided to drop it down to 3 stars. At this point, I'm hard-pressed to recall most of the major plot points, let alone any details, and the main feeling I'm left with is a shrugging indifference. In all honesty, I forgot I read this book and can't find the tiniest particle of curiosity at what the rest of the series holds.
