So many things to love about this book, starting with: a traumatized protagonist that actually behaves like she’s traumatized. Thank you Rebecca Roanhorse for getting this right.
There’s also very cool clan powers that I can’t wait to see more of, a tricksy plot, and some morally questionable characters I’m sure we’ll be hearing from again.
The characters—even the secondary characters—were very good. Aside from our anti-social traumatized lead, you have the seemingly perfect pretty boy who has a lot more going on than meets the eye and a host of sometimes-allies with backstories we get hints of occasionally and whom I really hope to learn more about.
