This was not a good book. Not at all. Perhaps it’s because of the time in which it was written, but nothing about it worked for me. The amnesia trick was just annoying, the lack of explanation for pretty much everything (world building, reasons for character actions, everything), and the way seemingly big events just get skated over like it’s no big deal, it all added up to zero enjoyment. Also, no surprise, but it’s a complete and total dude story. The few women that are even mentioned are absolutely pointless.
