We're given some answers in this second instalment but also, more questions. Really well done in terms of leaving us wanting more without feeling like something's missing.

I am looking forward to learning more about the Elves and the threat they pose and am so intrigued by Trellis and excited for what his role will be in the next books.

It seems we are connecting characters with dead dads and daddy issues. Solid way to relate characters of different species to each other and to the reader and done in a way that is appropriate for all ages.

Loving this series so far! Considering the hype and how late I am the party, that's a huge win

This book starts off dark for a story meant for a younger reader. That being said, since this book seems to set us up for the series, I appreciate that the darkest parts were quick and used just for that, setups.

I loved the art and the flow of the story. I'm intrigued and am left with lots of questions that I'm hopeful the next books will answer

'For all the anxious bulbs'

What an adorable story! Love the artwork. Garlic is precious and Celery is an ass. Ugh, Celery
