When I received the email that I was receiving another new ARC by Gena Showalter I was beyond excited! I have loved everything I have read by her so far and highly recommend her books! I’ve never read a Wizard of Oz retelling before and I’m living for it! I now have the urge to rewatch the movie for the millionth time. I will be honest. I wasn’t sure where this story was going at first. But the more I read, the more the twisted take on Oz lured me in. I loved Moriah and her love for her father. And Jasher? *fans face* Definitely an enemies to lovers vibe. I very much need more of their story and I cannot wait for the next one! The story did feel a little rushed at times but I love the world she created. Definitely makes you look at the Land of Oz with new eyes!

What If
A River Road Series, Book 1
By M. J. Hughes
Hockey Romance
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I just love love! And I am definitely a sucker for a good hockey romance (even though I’ve never seen an actual game in real life). I had the privilege of meeting M. J. Hughes over the weekend and got an autographed copied of her debut novel. She was such a sweetheart and I’m so happy to support an Oklahoma author!
I completely devoured this book! It was soooo good! Now, I’m not usually a fan of the miscommunication trope but this book made me reconsider its merits!  Liam and Clara are such a cute couple! I was rooting for them from page one and love a good friends to lovers romance! Their chemistry and banter was perfect! And I love their friend group.
I also got a sneak peak at quotes from book two of this series and I’m soooo excited the next couple is who I was thinking it was in the last half of the story! I’m so excited to read it! I highly recommend this book! I promise you won’t be disappointed!!

A Witch-ish Guide to Protectors and Pendulums
ARC
By Sarah Zolton Arthur
Paranormal Romance

This book was a super cute and fun read! Definitely fast paced! I loved Simone and Connor and all the banter!! I am a fan of a good fated mate story and this one did not disappoint. I did like that Simone wasn’t quick to just believe/accept the mate bond initially. It made it much more real and believable to me since it was a new concept to her. I enjoyed learning her backstory right alongside her!
The ending did feel a little abrupt to me though. I just needed something a little more. Especially since there were more details throughout the story itself. But it did leave me craving for more!
Overall, I definitely recommend this fun witchy read!
