This book was the definition of "meh" for me. Not horrible but not great either. The horror was not scary. The satire didn't feel funny or biting. While told from a character's perspective, it felt like someone far, far removed was just narrating what was happening...pretty boring. I liked the catalog and store concept, for sure. I just wish the writing was more gripping.
