I really enjoyed this book, you can really see the evolution of the writer through this series because each books is better than the last. Raven gets a lot more witty in this book and the interactions with Alexander are always cute. I really liked how Luna and Raven are so similar and can really see them becoming friends if it wasn't for the whole rivalry thing with Alexander and her family. Some of the interactions with Trevor really put me off however, the scene where she is remembering kindergarten and his birthday party plus the emotions she was feeling with the Dracula figure really make it seem like Raven has had a crush on Trevor in the past and isn't over it fully. Personally I'm not a fan of the bully romance type relationship Raven and Trevor have. Overall I'm really interested in seeing where the books go from here as I am rereading them and honestly have no memories of book 4 - 9 except the ending of book 9 so it will be like the first time reading them.

Love the show, so I decided to start the series. It doesn't have quite the same charm as the show (and to be fair the show looks like it starts on the second book and not this one), but I really enjoyed this! The twists were really interesting and I'm looking forward to continuing the series.

*Fair warning however: there is some intense gore among other things, definitely a good idea to look into it before deciding to start reading.
