This was my favorite book of the series so far. The characters were raw, more open and honest with themselves and others and the connection felt the closest. I am a fan of all of Jasmine’s writings and this tops the cake! A cute story, lots of quirky and romantic moments, but also the human experience of dating through fear and anxiety was present. I appreciated the balance of the book.
I liked this book overall. I felt the author did a great job of outlining the importance of focusing on one thing & then quickly diving into the “how to” of focusing on one thing. He provided practical advice & real-life examples that I found some to be relatable. The author is very matter of fact with the advice & that helps convey the seriousness to the reader.
I think there’s some instances where cultural differences will matter in terms of how you implement his advice. Like having a support system is critical to success, but creating or cultivating that community takes time and depending on your situation in life it can be extremely challenging and the matter of fact approach doesn’t give room for nuances. However, I learned a lot from the book and have already started implementing some of the suggestions in my own life. Overall, I like the book, rate it a 4 and recommend it to others!
Actually, there’s another book I would recommend that reminded me of this: The Best Yes

I am crying writing this review because this book is SO good and that is not an exaggeration.
About:
This book opens you up to the Greek mythological world from the POV of a castaway and forgotten about daughter. She exists as a Goddess in a world that is ran by an unquenchable thirst for power, greed, lust & violence.
Why I loved it:
- It’s about isolated woman who thrives in solitude only to later thrive in friendship and love. She must come to decide what she really wants in life & what is she willing to sacrifice in order to get it. Lesson: In order to gain anything, there is always a sacrifice.
- The lead character has layers & wise
- The secondary characters have rich backgrounds and well told storylines
- She has some good enemy/battles
- The message of love, independence & interdependence is weaved flawlessly throughout the story
- I love me a good friendship story, especially one about women who are later in life! The story of her and Penelope…I just
