Ok... so ... you know when you read a quote and you buy the book based only on that single quote...only me? Ok, never mind... :)
It usually turns out to be a good book, but unfortunately, this one did not deliver.
I honestly don't remember when was the last time I have given such a bad rating.
This book could easily be fanfiction and I won't get into explaining which books it is fanfic of since it is highly commented on in all of the other's reviews (positive or negative)... The vulgar gesture so frequently mentioned in the book is a hint.
I love reading fanfics; some are masterfully written, so the problem is not where the inspiration came from, but it is the execution of it and the lack of its own personality that would make it a book of its own.
What I liked in this book was the first few chapters. We got a fierce heroine, with her sisters in the battle, that was so powerful that the hell would freeze.
It was a fiery start and then it got lukewarm and then we got completely cold.
The fierce heroine ended up being pretty bratty, her stance would change a few times in a chapter from being fierce to being helpless, from being seductive to being unprotected. Everyone is enamored with her and for the sake of me, I couldn't figure out why.
The plot was weakly paced, it was jumpy, and felt repetitive. We get action, a kiss, and an explanation for the world-building, and then it goes in circles. Since it is heavily inspired by the previously mentioned books, the story was predictable, and the wow effect that was planned for the end didn't hit the mark for me.
Overall it felt as if it was a story I have read before and unfortunately, I can say that this book was not for me.

Let me just start by saying that I was lucky enough to be part of a beta read team for this book. Thank you Cherie!
This is an urban fantasy with a story that has its own identity, easily one of the most original plotlines I have read in a while. It has it all, a good story, with characters that you love and some that you hate that you love, with just the right amount of spice.
The writing is nice and easy. It pictures the two realms, one of the humans and one of Angels and their Muses. The connection between those two was brought through flaws and virtues that bounds Angels to the human world.
The story is set to start with different characters and their life stories, each of them interesting in its own way and as the story unfolds, we see the character growth that envelops the world building making it richer with every chapter.
The story is filled with all kinds of love, with pain as a driving force and a search for the meaning of life as an individual and as a higher force that is responsible for the life of others.
While reading I did have some of my predictions, but I was wrong and that is what is giving me good book vibes :)
I really enjoyed the whole story and its uniqueness with the mysterious veil that is raised bit by bit and slowly fills you in with the story and then you start connecting the dots.
Great story, I strongly recommend reading this one.

What a Book! What a Book!
A breath of fresh air.
A book that spread its wings and flew high, directly to my best reads this year.
TY Luna for sending me an eARC. This is my utterly honest opinion!
I have read the first book in the series of Shadow and Moonlight and it was a good book with an interesting story and some intriguing characters. You can recognize the inspiration that Luna found in some of our favorite Romantasy books, some of our favorite tropes, mixed it all, and gave it a unique voice. Overall a good debut book.
Then this book comes into play. Luna amazed me with how much she has grown as an author... her writing style has advanced so much, the characters were full of life, the story was heart-gripping, and all of the points in the story that were wobbly in the first book were brought on another level. This is an example of an author who listens with her heart and writes for her readers. My "must read" author for sure.
This is a chunky book but the story is so rich that you are easily immersed in it that you do not feel as if you are reading, but it feels as if you are there with them and watching. This shows how much her writing style has improved. The scene descriptions and the atmosphere in the room are clear and go directly to your heart. Descriptive writing is giving so much to this story. I cannot imagine what the next book will bring us.
The characters are presented strongly, whether with their weaknesses, strengths, flaws, or virtues. The previous book needed a bit more character depth and with this book, it was all made up for. The side characters felt like a family and you could feel the unison between them.
The relationship between Cassie and Damien is amazing! Damien is a new-level book boyfriend. And the intimacy scenes, omg, such strong connection between them, just ... poetry.
The story was built beautifully, there are foreshadowing and explanations from the previous book and for the next one coming. This will be a series that you will have to reread and with every read, you'll have an AHA/WOW moment. If you miss something or you think it is forgotten... think again, no it is not...just wait.

3.5 ⭐ rounded up.
This was a cute book.
I can't say that I didn't like it. I really enjoyed reading it and it had some great moments between the main characters, but I think that this book would read better if it was a novella.
The plot itself could have been shorter with the same impact, and same message.
The middle part of the book, with the parents, was just stretching the story.

Here's the thing...
I was never into witches, werewolves, and other paranormal characters.
I read this book solely on my friend's recommendation.
But what I didn't know is that I needed this cute, heartwarming, love story between a witch and a werewolf filled with great banter.
What got me the most was how easy it was to read and how much I laughed while reading it. I have to say Alfa is Mateo`s Venom :)
Have in mind that this book should be read as a fun paranormal romcom and not as a story with a heavy character or a plot development.
While the plot was not much there and it was mostly focused on the love relationship between Mateo and Evie I really didn't mind the lack of it. The world-building was set up nicely for growing with the next books in the series, we got introduced to all of the sisters and the future love interest for each of them, so I am looking forward to reading the rest to the series :)
