The story has such strong emotions and is so beautifully written.

This is how a short story should be told. Take a moment and focus on the emotions in that moment, there was a lot said with just a few short sentences. Just enough to get us interested in the characters and their story but enough to know to not feel as if we are missing something and to appreciate that we got to see such an intimate moment between the main characters.

What is the best way to describe someone's point in life better than telling it through the ambiance and the environment?

Hard times that are awaiting the main character and his perception of things are mirrored with the view of the ocean and the setting on the coast, through an ambiance of something so big and powerful and at the same time so frightening and unknown as it provides a settling feeling of the calming sounds, all of that while standing on the very edge of a big transition in your life.

I loved how powerful the story was, even being so short.

Small-town romance that was easy and fun to read, what is there not to like?

What was most interesting to read was the fun energy between the main characters. Their personal growth was also present for both of them and you can see it develop through their connection. The dual POV made this even better since we get to see both sides.

What I appreciated the most is that the story between Avery and Dominic had its depth which is a hard thing to achieve when it is just a short novella. And for the end, there was the cute ending which was a perfect wrap-up for their story.
