Redford is a very Gilmore-esque small town. The families and people know each other. They have a very family type feeling to it - even down to the fights and rivalries. So when the town’s founder passes away and leaves his fortune as winnings for a town game, the claws come out!
Jess is a very colorful character - her teammate, Nikki, is an Instagram Influencer who hates Jess for cheating on her boyfriend in high school. Carter is the grandson to the town founder - he is not very well liked in the town, but his teammate, Bryce, is willing to give him a chance.
Friendships and romance is formed through the challenge and in the end, the challenge does more than give two people each 5 million dollars. It reminds the townspeople of their love & friendship for each other.
I really liked this book, but I’m also a fan of Lacie’s other books as well. I loved that this one was a mix of women’s fiction with some romance thrown in. I definitely give it a solid four stars.
Huge thank you to Putnam and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Georgie is unemployed and makes the decision to move back home. She stays in her parents house, unknowing that they also invited Levi to stay there while repairs were being made to his house.
This was a beautiful story of Georgie’s coming into her own and finding out just how she tends to put others first but it’s time to focus on herself. And the love developing with Levi of course.
3.5 stars but rounded up to 4.

I was a little weary of this book after reading reviews. However, I ended up enjoying it more than I expected.
Bella Marble works as a receptionist in publishing but really she wants to be a writer. She also wants her best friend to dump her boring boyfriend Mark because he hates Bella. She also wants to find her happy ever after.
After an uneventful one night stand, Bella has the idea to write a book of her journey to find her happy ever after. Of course - the guys will have to fit the part of fairy tale princes.
I hated the characters from the beginning but I really appreciated the growth they experienced. By the end, I was satisfied with the book, even if I didn’t like all of the ups & downs along the way.
Overall, a solid 3 stars for a book that I enjoyed more as an audio than as a kindle read.

So I’m kind of torn about how I feel.
Grace Evans is visiting Wyoming for 10 days and is staying with Calvin at his Airbnb. She’s simply renting a room which was the first red flag for me.
Calvin and Grace start a budding romance - red flag number 2. But then more red flags start popping up - she gets ominous warnings from the residents of the small town. Her car stops working. Calvin becomes obsessed with her.
The story started off strong but then felt like it dragged on for awhile until the final 10% when you get the big twist. And while it was a good twist, it was also kind of a letdown.
I just expected… more. However, I adore Jeneva Rose’s writing style because she draws you into the story.
Huge thank you to Libro FM and Blackstone Publishing for the ALC.
