Look, Oliver Sacks was a neurologist who trained in the late fifties and published this book in the mid 80s. From what I can tell from the book and background information, he was unusually compassionate and holistic for his time...but this is still a book of that time, and as much I have full confidence Sacks would have written this differently today, it was still jarring to hear several chapters with highly outdated and offensive medical terms and theories that have now been very much debunked, so I rated it lower based on my own enjoyment of the stories being impacted by that. Nevertheless interesting, and probably even more so for those with some background in brain functioning because there is a decent amount of neurological detail.
