Very fast read that I really enjoyed, great story that really captivates you and makes you feel for all of the characters.

Excellent historical fiction. I loved learning more about WWI and the involvement of Canadians and native soldiers. The way the story is told is also fascinating - we get to see the impact of war on two very different personalities as well as learn more about the characters native history through the memories of his Aunt who is also a main character and narrates some of the book. Loved it!
