I enjoyed this book as Christmas is my favorite holiday. Along, with the main character's name being Merry, it made an excellent combination. I enjoyed the characters and look forward to seeing them in future books.
However, I did not really feel the "mystery" of the book as Merry really did not do any "detective" work to figure out the murderer. It just fell into her lap.
Though, I gave this a lower than usual rating, I hope to read other additions to this series.

The Wilding Sisters is set in the English countryside at a residence called Applecote Manor. The story alternates between 1959 and the present focusing on the residents of Applecote Manor. In 1959, four nieces of the Applecote Manor's owners, the Wildes, come to stay for the summer due to their mother's new job abroad. There visit is tainted by the disappearance of their cousin Audrey that happened 5 years ago. In the present, Jessie and Will have decided to purchase Applecote Manor to escape the city life of London. Jessie is adjusting to life as the "second wife" of Will that includes her stepdaughter, Bella, and her own daughter with Will.
I really enjoyed that the book went back and forth between the time periods and discovering the connections between them. The four Wilding Sisters are young, hopeful, and struggling with going from children to young women. Bella is a teenager who is struggling with the grief of her mother's death and dealing with her feelings concerning Jessie, her half-sister, and her new relationship with her father, Will.
The book was well written and kept me guessing till the end. I think this would be an excellent book for people of all ages.
Thank you for Netgalley, the publisher, and Eve Chase for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I really loved this book! The premise was intriguing. Agatha and Megan are both pregnant and due to give birth around the same time. Agatha becomes obsessed with Megan as her life seems to be perfect...2 other children, a wonderful marriage, friends, and success as a "mommy" blogger. This obsession leads to a mysterious psychological thriller that will keep you captivated to read more until the surprising ending.
I thought this book was just okay. It took me a longer time than usual to get through it as it did not captivate me enough to devour in one sitting. The premise seemed interesting....3 women find out that they are "married" to the same man after he is murdered in a florist shop while buying flowers for a fourth woman. Kate, Jamie, and Amanda all meet at Conrad's funeral and are considered suspects in the murder. This meeting sparks each one to flee to Conrad's cabin to determine who will inherit the cabin. While living in the cabin, a bond is formed between the 3 women who all have been betrayed by Conrad but still welcomed into this small town of Bootleg.
This book did not "wow" me. The theme of the book was a bit far fetched...that 3 women who have been betrayed by a con man would become really good friends. There is a romance thrown into the mix when Kate and Waylon (the detective in Conrad's murder case) are attracted to each other. There was no real mystery in the book. When the murderer is discovered, it appeared to be no big deal.
I would be willing to read more books in the future if the writing improves and the romance mystery part was more developed.
