6 stars!!!! Oh my word I loved this book. I don't think I have the words to fully explain by love for this book. It had everything you'd want in a book and I was so invested the entire time. 1 - the political aspects are really well constructed and easy to understand 2 - the characters are great. 3 - it draws you in so thoroughly that I had multiple visceral reactions. There were some real moments of intense stress and some others with satisfactio which only shows off how amazing Odette's story telling is. Favorite book of the month and possibly the entire year.

I love Evie and Aspen! This was such a fun take on a Fae story. I really liked how there was a mystery involved that intrigued but didn't stress me out. The pacing was also great. And the political structure was really cool and easy to follow. Very much looking forward to book 2!!

The amount of times I cackled in the beginning whenever Feyre was being a badass should be embarrassing 🤣. I was ready to be stressed at the beginning because of how the second book ended but it was so satisfying! So much happened in this book - it almost felt like 2 books in one.

I really enjoyed this! I'm a psychology person so I always appreciate when a character actually shows being effected by traumatic events. A lot of time it's overlooked or underplayed but Maas did a great job at highlighting it and it made the story more real for me and I got super invested. Tamlin is trash, and I really enjoyed how book 2 turned the tropes of book 1 on their heads. Also, the cliff hanger absolutely wrecked me. The last 30 pages had me STRESSED, which is just a testimatent to the wonderful story telling.

Such a good ending but I'm so sad it's over. Everything I LOVED about the first book was carried over and the ending is perfectly balanced between satisfying and leaving you wishing the story could continue. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because I wasn't super crazy about the POV changes to Elm, but that's only because I wasn't personally invested in his character as much as others. Otherwise, I absolutely loved everything about this book.
