I enjoyed this. It wasn't the best zombie book I read but it wasn't the worst either. I always have a HUGE problem when they don't believe they are dealing with zombies. Come on people if someone dies and then all of a sudden reanimates with no conscious thought and they try to eat you...they are ZOMBIES! Some things that happen are completely unrealistic. I know its a zombie book but still, some of the stuff Danny does was unbelievable. Even with the few problems I had, this was still an entertaining read.
This series just keeps on getting better and better and this was my favorite so far. This series has everything you can ask for humor, action, romance, drama, suspense, awesome characters and so much more. I love the mix of mythology. I'm sure your favorite god or goddess has made an appearance somewhere in the Iron Druid Chronicles. What other series would have Odin helping a Druid defeat Olympians?
Side note: if you enjoy audio-books, definitely check out this series. Luke Daniels is AMAZING.

This was a decent sequel. I didn't love it as much as I did the first one. The format changed, it wasn't in diary style anymore. That was one of the reasons I really loved the first one. It felt like a real experience. This one also had multiple POV's which sometimes got annoying. And there was a cliffhanger. Now I have to patiently wait until the third book is translated.

I am a sucker for serial killer stories and I love the concept of the son of a serial killer trying to live a normal life. So this was right up my alley. There were some slow parts and I figured out who the bad guy was pretty early on. I also would have liked some more of Jazz's past with his father. But overall I really enjoyed this and I am looking forward to the next one.

I really enjoyed this. It was a nice mix of horror, fantasy, and humor. It's advertised as a YA but I would consider is more New Adult/Adult. I couldn't put it down once I started. It's well written and the story develops at a nice pace. Dimitri is a great protagonist and grows throughout the story. The supporting characters are also great. Highly recommended!
First and foremost, this was WAY too long. Secondly, I wasn’t the biggest fan of Stephen King’s narration. There were some truly scary parts and I was intrigued by the mystery surrounding everyone at the lake house. It was repetitive, slow-moving and boring at times. They could have easily cut 1/3 of this book.
I'm a big fan of Mark Tufo's Zombie Fallout Series. So I know you just have to take what he says and not really think about the logistics or timeline. For instance, this is set up as a diary so how could she know conversations that happen away from her? It was good, nicely paced with a good mix of action, romance, and humor.
I love Mike Talbot. He's hilarious, tough, smart, stubborn and loyal. I did get tired of him whining about losing his family. It happened over a century ago, he needs to get over it and move on. You also kind of have to just read and not think too much about the timeline and the logistics. This was a good start to a new series.
This took me by surprise. The narrator was excellent and brought the story to life. I'm not sure if I would have enjoyed it as much if I read it. This was a nice mix of thriller, fantasy, and sci-fi. I loved the concept of "brilliant" people in the world. I recommend this to someone who is looking for a thriller with a twist.
WTF did I just read???
This was one weird book. I never fully understood what was going on and I am not sure if I even liked it but it kept my interest. Some parts were overly violent and unnecessary. If you are squirmish, don't pick this up. The ending fell flat for me, not enough was explained and I still have a lot of questions.
