An absolutely incredible book. I went into this book not knowing what to expect or what it was about. It takes genuine skill to craft realistic characters that the reader struggles to 100% align with. Morally grey characters are popular in YA & NA, but it’s a whole different story when the main character is morally grey. I love the complex personalities of the characters that make you love and hate them. I was literally gripping my book and screaming at it during the coronation scene. Again, I had 0 expectations about this book. If I had any, it was just that I was told it was a dark romance. It is so much more than a dark romance, in fact, it’s barely a romance. It’s more political in a fantasy setting and I love it.

A great way to end the trilogy, just wished it was a bit longer to play out all the action events. Felt rushed in the end. I wouldn’t mind a little story of how Vivi, Jude, and Taryn are doing down the road and how their paths have changed.

Started off a little rough but I got really into pretty quickly. It’s dark and ruthless, not sure how the authors are gonna pull off the enemies to lovers at this point especially after what the Heirs did to Tory. Kinda rooting for Orion and Darcy. I like the sexual tension between Tory and Caleb, not sure I like them long term. I’m also pretty sure Tory and Darcy are Phoenixes if that’s a possible order. I can’t figure out with regenerates their magic but with fire being strong with them and them surviving a house fire as babies, I’ve gotta think Phoenix.

This book damn near gave me a heart attack! Tory is a little annoying in the book but at this point I’m starting to accept that Fae way so it’s a little easier to like the other characters now. I love the snowball fight scene and Xavier has quickly become a favorite of mine! The whole time there were talking about getting Clara I was like ???? this seems like a huge ass trap like why is everyone okay with risking their lives for something that’s clearly not Orion’s sister? Also, I love Gabriel. He’s my everything and I would die for him. I was not mad at Tory’s decision to reject the mating bond at all, heartbroken? Yes. But not mad at her. She had all the reasons and it was her choice and I don’t feel sorry for Darius for her rejecting him. I do feel bad that they’re now cursed to never find love but it seems ridiculous that the stars give them their Divine Moment so soon when it’s clear Orion and Darcy are Elysian Mates too and they haven’t had their moment. I’m so glad to have these books out now and have Kindle Unlimited because if I had to wait to find out if Orion lived, I might have actually died.

NOW we get a time jump. Lord spare me. I love Seth now, he’s a big dummy and I’m here for it. I’m hardcore shipping him and Caleb and it’s happened like THREE times they almost kissed or whatever and EACH TIME they’re interrupted! I’m so pissed about that. I literally had to cheat and see when Tory comes back to her senses and it hurt me to see Darcy and Darius see her but not reach her. I swear every time Clara calls Lionel “Daddy” it makes me want to rip out my own eyeballs. And now she’s even more powerful that it’s really Lavinia. I was really hoping Lionel would die in this book and then we’d only have to deal with the shadow bitch for the next two books. I’m actually okay with the way this book ended so it’s not gonna be hard to wait for boo 7 to be released. I’m glad Lance is free, that was something I expected but needed to happen to breathe again. The whole time I was like screaming at Darcy cause, yes, Lance did give up the relationship but he did it to save her and then it turned out he needed to be in prison to get the answers he needed for the diary! They just need to have a real makeup sesh and I was never more annoyed with Lionel than when he interrupted them at Gabriel’s house.
What Max did for Tory just warmed my heart and I also like Tory more now and it killed me to see everything she had to go through and continued to go through. It is sad that Darius gave up his life to break the bonds between him and Tory, but now neither have the Guardian bond and they aren’t Star Crossed so he has a year to freely love her until he dies. I’m pretty sure that throws a wrench in the Heirs plans to rule cause I’m sure Xavier, powerful as I’m sure he’ll be, is for sure Team Vegas. I’m more concerned about this curse on Darcy and Lance. They are my endgame and I will not have it any other way.

This is my favorite famous couple of all time. I like the concept and it’s a solid romance novel. I enjoy that Persephone isn’t trying to change Hades really and that she embraces her own darkness. So glad she unlocked her powers and is just trying to find her place in the world.

This one was a little annoying. Persephone is trying to find her own place so I guess I can excuse that much but it’s just a book of her constantly messing up. Love her and Hades still, though I could go with a little less sec and more relationship building. I love Seph’s fiery temper and passion, I just hope she reins in her issues soon. Not sure how I feel about the random stalker/abduction at the end, it felt underdeveloped and rushed.

I liked this book much better as there was more of an external conflict that built throughout the book. I like the way Hades treats Persephone after her trauma and how Persephone is navigating through it.

I loved this book. It was different and albeit a bit confusing but I figured it out by the end. Hated that it was short and slow going but I understand it’s setting the larger scene. I literally screamed out loud when Auren turned Fane into gold because I definitely knew she had the gold touch. Midas is the worst and an absolute creep. Clearly he groomed Auren and I hate seeing her seek him out and not realise she’s the one with all the power not him. Can’t wait for her to realise he’s an asshole, abuser, and clearly a pedophile.
