i haven’t read any marriage of convenience stuff since my early high school years and good god did this book reignite that flame for me

going into this i wad afraid i was going to not like it. i didnt love funny story and i hadn’t read any eh in over a year plus other people’s opinions weren’t helping either.
but like always, reading eh is like slipping into a warm bath, before you know it you’re in too deep and you don’t want to get out.
there were some things at the end that i wasn’t the biggest fan of hence the 4.5. it didn’t crack into my top three eh books but still i had a lot of fun 🙂↕️

wow, so soon after saying that im not quite sure how to rate nonfiction books this unequivocal 5 star falls into my lap.

im never really sure how to rate nonfiction books, something im still working on since this year is really the only time ive entertained more than 1.
it’s crazy to me that a book like this can come out and then nothing happens. of course it would be naive of me to assume that this singular book would change everything, but i thought that maybe it would produce uncomfortable conversations. the only thing ive seen make noise is how meta was trying to stop the release of this book but i wonder if i only heard of it because of me working in the book space. still, maybe im not in the right places, or maybe we all have to deal with so much other batshit crazy stuff on a day to day basis that this book is barely a ripple in the sea of our issues
anyways, i already knew that mark zuckerberg was a huge fucking loser, but jesus does this paint it on thick. i hope he feels embarrassed

dont wanna give this a star rating,,, perhaps at a later date in the future when i reread for i had to quickly read it in time for the movie version i got tickets for 😋
