Boring.  Bonds dont make sense.  
Full of trauma llamas 

FMC turned me off in the beginning of the book. 
I may return to this book and try again one day as I have read she gets better 

Edit:  ok I eventually returned to the book and finished and yes it got better or maybe I was in a different place this time around.  

In any case I was able to finish and it was ... Fine.  Good enough to want to continue to the next book although it's very formulaic and still frustrating that FMC continues to hold on to her deep dark secret.  She has a very Alex Stern attitude (i.e. Ninth House) so all this inability to trust carrying a deep secret that will make the hot guy(s) scared of run away.  When as the reader you know it's not gonna happen so there is no reason to spend any more time on this than necessary.  

The next book will be an improvement IF Maven grows a pair and lets the rest of her crew in on her big secret.  Otherwise it will get tiresome. 

The spice was good. But the FMC got on my nerves with her stubbornness and indecision. I got up to the part where

she was going to crest the humans

and it just got so stupid and insane I noped out of there.

Too YA for me.  Very predictable and boring.   Mary Sue main character.  

Love the author's but the vampire stuff is just not appealing to me.  Also I don't like dystopian novels this felt like hunger games with vampires 

Lack of character development - characters were flat and unremarkable 

Boring plot development 

I had ENOUGH of the main characters whinging.  And her stupid ribbons.
