This was my most anticipated read and I LOVED it so much! Kai and Paedyn are one of my fav books couples, and I loved their interactions soooo much. The ending had me SHOCKED, and I am in need of Fearless rn Lauren Roberts. I will do ANYTHING to get my hands on an arc of Fearless, I will sell all my organs if I have to. I do love how we got Kitt's pov a few times in this book, and I hope the next novella (book 2.5) is about Kitt as I need to know more about him. I sobbed when Kai told Pae about his sister and my heart BROKE whe we learnt her story. Also Pae's dad wasn't even her dad?!?!, and the things that her 'dad' wrote in his journal broke me. I highly recommend going into this book even if you have heard mixed reviews as it was AMAZING.
Quotes:
- “I may be a monster, but if you cut me, I'll bleed. And if you break my heart, Pae, you'll break me. So, if even a sliver of your soul longs for mine, I'll spend the rest of my life trying to deserve it.”
- “If she is Shadow, then I am Flame. This girl is the very thing I can’t seem to escape—can’t seem to go anywhere without the remnants of her following. Where I am, she is. Whether it’s in the flesh or in the fragments of my mind. And where there is a flame, there is always a shadow. She is my inevitable.”
- “I want her to burn for me, even if it means with hatred.”
- “I wanted to kill you," I whisper, forcing his eyes to open. "I wanted to be your undoing. But even then, I knew I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I had." He inches toward me, head shaking and eyes roaming as though overwhelmed by what he is seeing. "Oh, but you are my undoing. My deliverance. my downfall disguised as a deity." Another slow step. "You are my ruin.”
- “Do I haunt your dreams, plague your thoughts, like you do mine?”
- “She is the torture I may not survive. Eagerly, she is my undoing. Her gaze lifts, meeting eyes that are not my own. Eyes of the man who gets to have her-if she allows it. She was supposed to be my forever. Now I'll watch her become someone else's. Because the beast doesn't get the beauty.”
- “You asked me what my favorite color was once. I'd never even pondered the answer to that question before you. And yet, I realized in that moment that it was blue." He bends to brush a kiss to my temple, a murmur against my skin. "It is your eyes.”
- “Maybe you really are a poet," I whisper. He smiles softly. "Only a fool for you." "Pretend?" My voice is small, soft like the breeze blowing through my short hair. "Never." "None of it?" I ask quietly. "Darling"-he smiles- "I have never had to pretend to want you.”
- “Go on, my Silver Savior,” he muses bitterly. “Be my undoing.”
- “We were inevitably imperfect for each other.”
- “This kiss is deep and anything but tender. It is betrayal. It is bitterness. And nothing has ever tasted so sweet. It is ruin.”
- “He is my anchor, and I am willing to sink, so long as it is with him.”

I was so nervous to read this book as people don't like it, but it was so good. I know nothing about F1 but it was easy to follow along with and was easy to understand. I do wanna continue the series as I wanna learn more about F1 and wanna see how the other books are! I loved how we got an influencer aspect from the FMC as I never see that in books, and I need recs with that trope/aspect in it!
Quotes:
- “I think love is about happiness and sacrifice. Comprising instead of arguing. Having someone who is always there for you even when you don't deserve it. Loving someone means you want to spend the rest of your life with them on the good days and the bad days and everything in between.”
- “I thought winning the World Championship was the best thing, the only goal I had for a long time. Shit, was I wrong. I realize today that the best thing includes winning with your loved ones.”
- “If it were another life, I’d probably do right by you. I’d take you on dates and try harder. But that’s not who I am or how I was raised. I don’t know how to be the kind of emotional guy you desire.”
- “Because I already called dibs on you.” His intense gaze makes me shudder. “You can’t call dibs on people. You sound like a B-list rom-com.” “But I fuck like an A-list porno.”
- “Fear is not always a weakness. It’s what you do with the fear that shows your true strength.”
- “Santiago, please come collect your sister. She fucks up everyone’s work schedule.”
- “Keep talking. I love hearing your voice.”
- “I'm into Maya. Like really into her.”
- “I think you’ve ruined me.” Her whispered voice rings through the quiet. Shit. That’s the best thing I’ve heard all day.”

I read this book via audiobook and it was so good!! I loved Kate and Anthony's relationship in the show, but it was so much better to read about as the show changed so much about their relationship. Kate hating Anthony at first before realising she loved him was everything as she had tried so hard to convince herself that she hated him with every bone in her body. I also love their development, how they came to be engaged and how in love they were during the epilogues in their book. I 1000% recommend reading this series, its amazing!!
Quotes:
- “Love's about finding the one person who makes your heart complete. Who makes you a better person than you ever dreamed you could be. Its about looking in the eyes of your wife and knowing all the way to your bones that she's simply the best person you've ever known.”
- “Listen to me,” he said, his voice even and intense, “and listen well, because I’m only going to say this once. I desire you. I burn for you. I can’t sleep at night for wanting you. Even when I didn’t like you, I lusted for you. It’s the most maddening, beguiling, damnable thing, but there it is. And if I hear one more word of nonsense from your lips, I’m going to have to tie you to the bloody bed and have my way with you a hundred different ways, until you finally get it through your silly skull that you are the most beautiful and desirable woman in England, and if everyone else doesn’t see that, then they’re all bloody fools.”
- “But when Anthony kissed her, she felt as if she were losing her mind. And when he kissed her twice, she wasn't even sure if she wanted it back!”
- “And then there was Kate Sheffield. The bane of his existence. And the object of his desires. All at once.”
- “Was it possible to fall in love with the same man over and over again, every single day?”
- “Anthony,” she whispered, his name a benediction, a plea, a prayer all in one. “Anything,” he replied raggedly, dropping to his knees before her, his lips trailing a hot path along her skin as his fingers frantically worked to release her from her gown. “Ask me anything,” he groaned. “Anything in my power, I give to you.” Kate felt her head fall back, felt the last of her resistance melting away. “Just love me,” she whispered. “Just love me.” His only answer was a low growl of need.
- “It was that spark. That damnable spark that never seemed to dim between them. That awful prickle of awareness that burned every time she entered a room, or took a breath, or pointed a toe. That sinking feeling that he could, if he let himself, love her.”
- “It occurred to Anthony that when she wasn’t arguing with him, Kate Sheffield might bloody well be the finest woman in England.”

- Enemies To Lovers
- Slow Burn

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this arc! As an avid history lover, I was so invested in this book, especially since I didn’t know the full story of some of the people in this book. I have done my family tree, and I am related to some of the people in the book (e.g. Margaret Pole) and I loved learning more about their lives! I highly recommend this book to those who love history, especially Tudor history as it lets us see in people’s lives if they were high ranked in society!

I don't read many mystery or thriller books and this book reminded me why tbh. There was so much going on in this book, and some parts made no sense whatsoever and were never tied up. I liked how we had some 'before' parts of the book that happened years ago, but I was not a huge fan of the characters and how the plot was laid out. It felt really messy and not planned prior to writing the book. I wouldn't recommend this book unless you want a messy and basic mystery/thriller book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for sending me this arc! I did enjoy this book which is why I gave it 3.75 stars, but it did start off slow and I was slightly bored for the first 30% to 35% but it did pick up after that! I loved how it was set in the UK as most books happen in the US. I do want to reread this book once it is published, and I do recommend this book if you like reality shows!

This was my first WLW book (I think) and it was an okay book which is why I gave it 3.25 stars. I loved how Jane was stuck in time, and the journey we were took on to find out why she was stuck in time on the train/subway. I loved the side characters, and how they interacted with August as she was trying to learn more about Jane. I don't see myself rereading this book again, but I would recommend it if you like WLW romances.
Quotes:
- “Sometimes the point is to be sad, August. Sometimes you just have to feel it because it deserves to be felt.”
- “Big dick energy is gender-neutral”
- “I fell in love with you the day that I met you, and then I fell in love with the person you remembered you are. I got to fall in love with you twice. That’s— that’s magic. You’re the first thing I’ve believed in since— since I don’t even remember, okay, you’re— you’re movies and destiny and every stupid, impossible thing, and it’s not because of the fucking train, it’s because of you. It’s because you fight and you care and you’re always kind but never easy, and you won’t let anything take that away from you. You’re my hero, Jane. I don’t care if you think you’re not one. You are.”
- “Hey, Coffee Girl." "Hey, Subway Girl.”
- “There was this girl. I met her on a train. The first time I saw her, she was covered in coffee and smelled like pancakes, and she was beautiful like a city you always wanted to go to, like how you wait years and years for the right time, and then as soon as you get there, you have to taste everything and touch everything and know every street by name. I felt like I knew her. She reminded me who I was. She had soft lips and green eyes and a body that wouldn’t quit. Hair like you wouldn’t believe. Stubborn, sharp as a knife. And I never, ever wanted a person to save me until she did.”
- “Oh my God. She literally shorted out the train because she was horny… She’s an icon”
- “August Landry does not trust people, but she trusts fried chicken.”

I did like this book more than Magnolia Parks, but I didn't love it hence why I gave it 3.5 stars. The footnotes at the bottom of the pages stressed me out so much, and I am not a fan of the drama trope being used constantly. I did like this because of the mafia aspect, but I didn't love the overall plot and storyline. I do wanna continue the series but it is really overrated and boring.
Quotes:
- “Daisy’s that feeling you get when you’re floating on your back in a pool and there’s so much fucking noise around you until you put your ears under and it all goes quiet. That’s how she feels to me.”
- “The feel of him is my favourite feeling in the world, for all of history and all of time, write it down, ring the town bell and tell the scribes—I’ll wear it on my heart’s sleeve forever that I love him.”
- “I can't even look at him because I'm a flower and he's the whole entire sun and he'll wilt me away, I know he will”
- “Memories are funny, don’t you think? Creep up on you, break through the ground of your mind like a weed, even when they don’t have permission to be there.”

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for sending me this arc! This book was really good and I loved the ‘at sea’ concept as I have never read a book with this concept before. I loved thr characters growth and humour, and I loved how the FMC was English as most books have MC’s that are American which gets boring. The only negative thing I have to say is that this book was 514 pages long, and a romance book should not be over 400 pages at most. I will be picking up a physical copy of this book soon, and I will be recommending it to people!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for sending me the arc of this book! I adored this book sooo much and it was one of my first summer books of this year! The MC’s had amazing chemistry and amazing humour. I loved the family of the FMC and how lovely and funny they were in this book, and I loved the character development of the MC’s as the book went on! I highly recommend this book to everyone, and I will be preordering my physical copy to reread once it is released!
