Overall I enjoyed this book and I am going to continue on with the series. If you are looking for an easy and light read this is a good book for you. A couple things brought my rating to where is is; first it is entertaining but the writing can be annoying at times. Along with this, I like the world building and plot but some aspects are really repetitive and unnecessary. I also think the chemistry between the main character and love interest was kinda thrown in there and I only started to like their connection towards the end of the book. 

I really love how holly black writes! if you’re looking for an easy and satisfying read I always recommend her writing, especially books in this series. I loved that it was written in Suren/ Wren’s perspective and how adventurous this book felt. I can’t wait for the next one.

I really enjoyed how the characters interacted in this book and also enjoyed the many interesting concepts such as time travel, multiple worlds and more. I think this book was just as good as the first book yet some aspects were hard to follow! I think eventually a re read of the series will help me give a better rating but overall its a very good read.

This book is very disturbing and took me awhile to get through despite it being short. I found myself having to process after every couple of chapters. The concept and underlying message of the book was really interesting but the writing was simple and sometimes confusing. Overall, not a bad read but I probably won't be rereading it and also would not recommend it. Also check trigger warnings if you do read! 

This book was such a nice ending to the series yet it leaves me wanting so much more. I love all the scheming and politics/ war in this book specifically and also how much of a badass Jude is; damn girl can go through it and come back like its nothing!

also can we talk about how much of a softy Cardan actually is!! he is so sweet and the way he loves Jude makes me so happy omg. like come on HE SENT HER THE DRESS. I still have not recovered from the series and can't stop thinking about them.

I liked this book and the third book better than the first, but I have a really hard time rating them all as the series as a whole is so good! I loved this book for the dynamic between Jude and Cardan but also, SO MANY PLOT TWISTS. It got to a point where I couldn't put the book down and I finished it in one sitting. If you read the first book and did not like it much, I thoroughly recommend finishing the series because it gets better.

I really loved this book and the main character Jude is so cool. I love the tension and plot turns that got me super excited to read the next book in the series. The writing is also very simple and easy to read which I don't mind in a book that has good plot and characters! love love love.

SO GOOD! This book is written so beautifully and the author does a really good job with developing characters. I also think it is unique that death is the narrator. I loved this book and was crying throughout the last chapters. I only finished today and I am still mentally processing/ recovering so this is all I am going to write for my review!

After a couple of hours of sitting with my thoughts after finishing this book I have decided to give it 3 stars. There were many lines in this book that were beautifully written and I really enjoyed the way Dazai wrote. I also enjoyed the very beginning of this book (mainly the main characters childhood) and the last 20-30 pages. That being said, there was so much misogyny and sexist thoughts from Yozo I find it hard to give it a higher rating (even considering the time in which the book was written/ took place). I also found it easier to relate to Yozo and how deeply he thought about human beings and feeling like he was "no longer human" until he decided to blame these feelings on women. Overall, an interesting read that left me feeling empty, can't say I would recommend this book to anyway but am not upset I read it.

It took me awhile to get into this book, but once I did I couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed each twist this book took and despite having an idea as to who the killer was I was still shocked by the ending. I do wish the ending didn’t feel so rushed which is the only reason I did not give 5 stars.
