Luella Pierce is unsure where she wants to go in life and time is running out as her time in college is coming to an end. Pressure from her professors and her coven to choose a major are getting to her in a big way & when she goes to the library go her usual spot, ex-jock & Lu’s nemesis, Ryan Gardner is there to make her question everything.

This book is the perfect blend of witchy vibes (think the tv show The Good Witch), big life decisions, and of course, college romance. Ryan and Lu are a great couple and bring their different personalities clash in such a good way.

I do wish the witchy stuff was explained a bit more as we are just sorta thrown into it with not a lot of background info. I also wish Lu & Vadika would have resolved things in the end rather than just leaving it open-ended (& not in a good way).

Other than that, this is a great read to start the Fall season with!!

Thank you Kendra for the ARC!!

I absolutely loved this book. The world building and the story were so unique, it’s the perfect fantasy world with a great mix of characters. For a debut novel, the writing is great and the enemies to lovers aspect was done so well! I can’t wait for the rest of the series.

If you’re looking for a beachy read to finish off your summer, this book is perfect!

I absolutely loved this book. The author’s writing has improved so much since The Ohana Cottage and this book is proof of it. Matt & Paige’s story was so heartfelt and the way they get together and communicate is fantastic. I’m not a huge fan of the miscommunication trope so I enjoyed the way the communicated throughout the book! Especially in the end when the “third act conflict” came up. I put it in quotes because I don’t really even see it as a typical third-act conflict. The characters talked about what happened (no spoilers) as soon as they had the chance and figured out their shit which was so refreshing.

Thank you Megan for the ARC!!!
