Baby Yours is book #2 in the Hunter & Lennon Roomate Duet Series by Kennedy Fox. The duet is complete and now available!

As a whole, I really loved this duet! There is a lot of great push & pull between Hunter and Lennon, and the story is both heartbreaking and hopeful.

Baby Yours picks up where Baby Mine leaves off. I couldn’t imagine reading this book without having read the first, so be sure to read them in order! In this book, we’ve got a fake relationship, dealing with the unexpected pregnancy, the touch of forbidden romance that still lingers, and a slow burn. I mean, we really get it all! The plot devices lead to plenty of drama and angst, but also sweet, tender moments that I know Hunter has been craving for too long.

I wish I could say that I loved Lennon, but I just didn’t enjoy her character as much as I did in book #1. Looking back on the first book, I’m not even sure I can say I loved her then. I think I just felt a lot of heart ache for her. Both she and Hunter are really flawed, and a lot of that has to do with their circumstances, but I still found him more likable than her.

In the end, though, I was glad to see Hunter and Lennon’s HEA, especially after all they had been through. I also liked the set-up in the epilogue for the next duet in this series — Mason and Sophie’s story!

Overall, I’d recommend this duet to all your angst-loving romance readers!

Happiness is a R.S. Grey rom com! Coldhearted Boss is a must on your summer reading list!

Grey is one of my favorite authors because she delivers EVERY SINGLE TIME. I know I’m going to get a binge-worthy, sweet and sexy romantic comedy with characters I wish I knew in real life with each of her books!

An angsty, slow-burn, enemies to lovers, workplace romance, Coldhearted Boss is hilarious and full of addictive tension. The pacing is a bit sluggish at the beginning, but the story is unexpected and ridiculously delightful with Grey’s signature wit and banter laced throughout. I got a lot of She’s the Man vibes set against the backdrop of a grown-up summer camp! It sounds weird, but Grey made it work.

To be totally honest, I’m not sure I would have loved the storyline as much had it not been for the characters driving it. Taylor is fiery and hard-working but down on her luck. Her inner dialogue had me cackling! Ethan is arrogant, rude, and stubborn but also has a vulnerability he doesn’t show often. Basically, he is a big teddy bear in denial, and I adored him! There is a lot of push and pull and an undeniable chemistry that these two try to ignore for a long time. They are fantastic together, though!

Overall, as with any R.S. Grey book, I absolutely recommend Coldhearted Boss! Be warned that the burn is S L O W, but if rom coms are your jam, then grab this one today!

Devney Perry has a gift! Through her writing and story telling, she has the ability to make a reader wholeheartedly feel what the characters in her books are feeling.

Letters to Molly is book two in the Maysen Jar series and can be read as a standalone. Told in dual POVs, this is the bumpy but poignant journey of Finn and Molly — a different take on a second chance romance.

Once upon a time, Finn and Molly had it all — a happy marriage, their own home, two children, and a landscaping business. Then things began to crumble and came crashing down one night when Molly made a huge mistake. Now divorced for several years, Letters to Molly is their story of redemption and the road they take towards their new ‘Happily Ever After’ thanks to a mystery person mailing the old letters that Finn wrote for himself during their relationship. It’s tender and heartbreakingly beautiful!

This book made me see Finn in a different light than I did in The Birthday List (book 1) — my like for him grew the more I read! I really loved Molly in the first book because of her friendship with Poppy. Letters to Molly made me love her for the character that she is. She is flawed but real.

Overall, I absolutely recommend this book! Fans of contemporary romance and books that bring all the feels NEED Letters to Molly!

CLo does it again, delivering a fun and flirty story! The Unhoneymooners is the perfect vacation read!

Christina Lauren is always an auto-buy for me. I love this duo’s writing style, and The Unhoneymooners is one of my favorites by them to-date! This enemies to lovers contemporary romance standalone, told from our heroine’s point of view, is hilarious and charming.

As is evidenced by the synopsis, the premise for The Unhoneymooners is befitting of a rom com flick! I really enjoyed the plot. It’s completely ridiculous which might be why I loved it so much! Seriously though, can this be made into a movie!?!

As with most of my favorite reads, I thought the characters made this story. Olive and Ethan are everything! Olive’s life is a general mess, but I liked seeing her work through her problems. She felt super relatable! Ethan won me over early. For fear of spoiling a plotline, I’ll simply say I did find him to be naive in one regard and would have liked to shake some sense into him, but I still adored the guy!

Overall, I loved The Unhoneymooners — the setting and quick pacing makes this the perfect beach read! I highly recommend it!

Waiting for Tom Hanks hit me with all the ’90s nostalgia! I’m pretty sure that Annie and I were BFFs in another life!

Coming from someone who, much like our leading lady, is obsessed with romantic comedies, this book is an utter delight. I smiled, I laughed, I was thrown back to when I thought men were actually like the guys in these movies/books (LOL #sorrynotsorry)…Waiting for Tom Hanks was my cup of tea!

This story is quirky, adorable, and sweet! To be honest, I think there is a rom com overload in the beginning that makes the heroine a smidge annoying. I mean, we have a rom com-loving main character who references her fave rom coms A LOT and happens to be writing her own rom com AND gets a job on the set of the rom com filming in her town…while waiting for her own, real-life “Tom Hanks,” just like in the rom coms of old *cue brain explosion* However, things level out as the story goes on, and I fell in love with this book.

Despite my aforementioned feelings and her flaws, Annie really is a delight. Her counterpart, Drew, shined, though. Their first encounter had me laughing out loud, and their banter is a lot of fun! They are surrounded by an amazing cast of secondary characters that I enjoyed just as much as the leads.

Overall, I enjoyed Waiting for Tom Hanks, and I think fellow rom com fanatics will appreciate this one! I CANNOT WAIT to see what Kerry has in store for us next.

Never Fall in Love with a Rockstar was so much more than I expected or ever could have hoped!

I know, hands down, that I can pick up a Rachel Higginson book and will love it.  I really enjoy her writing style, her stories always suck me in, and I connect with her characters more than any other author I regularly read.  She did not disappoint with her latest release!

Yes, Never Fall in Love with a Rockstar is a rockstar romance, but it's also a story about second chances, forgiveness, and redemption.  This book is a beautiful and emotional journey.

The characters in this book are phenomenal -- flawed and real!  Clover and Kai have a complicated and ugly past.  He suffered from addiction, and she fought against the worry that comes with loving an addict.  Five years later when they encounter each other, all the feelings, memories, and heartache come flooding back.  I appreciate how Rachel handles the addiction aspect of this story as well as the love triangle.  Love triangles usually make me wary, but the execution is on point!

Overall, I 100% recommend Never Fall in Love with a Rockstar!  If you're a fan of soul-stirring contemporary romances, you don't want to miss out on this one!

The Friend Zone had me laughing out loud one moment then reaching for the tissues in the next! Abby Jimenez delivers a solid debut novel! This book is equal parts fun and heartbreaking.

I liked the concept for The Friend Zone. I read the synopsis, heard the rave reviews, felt adequately warned of the triggering subject matter, and this sounded like a contemporary romance that I’d enjoy. And I did truly enjoy it! But at the same time, it left some to be desired.

I’d like to give two thumbs way up to the wit and banter, especially in the first half of the book! Kristen is spunky and tells it like it is! She is a fierce friend and a hard worker, all while dealing with a debilitating medical condition. I really enjoyed her character for the most part! But I LOVED Josh! The man is sexy, compassionate, and head over heals for Kristen!

For fear of giving away spoilers, I’ll simply say that lack of communication and a “miraculous” ending to a story-long plot point are what took away from this book for me.

Overall, I’d still recommend The Friend Zone. I know that a lot of readers will absolutely adore this book (after all, it does have some great reviews), and to those readers I say “go for it!”
