Probably closer to a 3.5 for me. This was a fun book, though. I'm a sucker for Buffy references.

I was surprised how much I liked this. While I still stand by the fact that The Handmaid's Tale stood better on its own as a dystopian novel, maybe that isn't the novel we need right now. As someone living in a time that seems hopeless and dystopian, I can't help but enjoy a story of hope.
